Netcruiser,
I believe my dear ol Dad was right:

Better to have everyone 'assume' you are ignorant.......... than to open your mouth and 'prove' it!

Never ordered from 1sks but dealt with WOW during their sale and they held a knife for me even though the breakdown in communication was 'my' fault. Give people a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised! Expect the worst and that is exactly what you will get! Just my Humble Opinion! Look around and notice where you are before throwing stones!
Too bad you couldn't get it worked out before communication broke down! Live and LEARN!

I just got a Sharpmaker I ordered from their web site. Delivery was prompt and the whole experience was excellent. I sent an email to Spark regarding another issue and he answered promptly. These guys do a super job. Hang in there Mike and Spark.

Update - Sam's called us and asked for a RA#, so when it's returned we'll be refunding him the cost of the knife.

Insert witty quip here

That either makes him untruthful (about giving the knife away) or someone who takes back a gift once given (there used to be a term used to describe this practice, but I can't remember what it is...)

IMHO, 2 wrongs don't make it right!

No matter how "netcruiser" handled the situation with his particular purchase/order ~ it was just as easy to "not" display his last name, address and phone # as displaying it!

None of the BS in this thread was right!

Hey, I think I've discovered a trick that Mike uses...

He bends you over so far forward that it LOOKS like he's bending over backwards

But hey, I always get the knife I want, always get it quickly, always get it for an excellent price, and I know if I ever get in a jam, it's a free phone call to straighten it out.

Netcruiser, your "private information" may have been tossed out in the open, but you sure forced it out there.

First, let me say that if I saw a knife for sale at 1SKS I would not hesitate to buy it.I am 100%
confident that if for any reason I had a problem ,it would be fixed quickly and fairly.
BUT,in case there are some people unaware of it,SOME OF US DON`T
WANT OUR NAMES AND ADDRESSES PUBLISHED ON THE WEB!!!
There are knives of questionable legality for saleon this site and where as a dealer makes the choice to put his name and phone#
out for all to see,a private collector may object to it.I DO.
What ever the problem was between
these two parties(it sounds like "net" was wrong) Publishing his name "upped" the stakes. This is how wars start!
Sorry, but thats how I see it.

I agree to point but in fairness I will go back and edit out the name and other stuff.
