Problem with a trade-Seager

Hey Iceman, you can always file a report of postal fraud if Seager doesn't ship your PM2 back to you. Then he will go to jail :)

You both seem like stand-up gents and this appears to be a misunderstanding into that actual goods being exchanged. Can't blame ICEMAN for not recognizing "non-Grimsmo" scales unless he's had a wealth of experience with them. I'm sure I would have taken the BF member at his word as well. Same for Seager, since it took another BF member to alert him to the fact that the scales were not authentic Grimsmo scales. Just think, if he had not reposted the PM2 for sale, he might not ever have become alert to this fact.

Since you both have good feedback/standing in the community, either route of rectification seems that it will work out. Either both agree to ship at the same time, or send Seager his LionSteel first since he did feel mislead and he will send your PM2 back up arrival of his knife. You have this ongoing post in the feedback forum that the community has seen if, for some, your PM2 is not returned to you.

Just my 0.02. Hope you guys work this out.

Hello,
This is pretty simple... XIcemanX posted he wanted a Lionsteel SR1 for a Spyderco Para 2 with GRIMSMO scales, we come to a deal... We both ship...all is good...knives arrive and everything looks good..... I'm happy as heck, I finally get to see what a set a Grimsmo's look and feel like and see what the hype is..so I email Iceman with all is good....
And that right there is where the official report ends. Unless it can be proven that xICEMANx KNEW or SHOULD HAVE KNOWN that the knife he traded did NOT have Grismo scales on it, the die was cast when you sent him an "A-OK" message. As far as I'm concerned, anything else xICEMANx decides to do about this situation that inures to your benefit he does solely out of the goodness of his heart.

I'm going to have to agree. If anything Seager should ship first.
Just my $.02

Hello,

I know I said I wouldn't post here again.....

Tyler, I'll be the real man here...and teach you a lesson, please remember if you can...

You can just keep the knife, I would probably just break the blade out of it when I received it,
I don't like bad carma! and you have plenty to go around, so the easiest way I see to rid myself
of the carma is to give you what you want, and deceived my trying to obtain...Well Tyler, you can
keep the knife and carma.... I live a beautiful life, I dam sure don't need this... Please don't
contact me ever again.... I have no use for you!.. Enjoy your new Lionsteel !...
I'm done with this..... Drama Over, back to regular scheduled programming!

Am I missing something, shouldn't this just be a simple trade reversal? Just send each other's knives back and be done with the situation.

Works for me. Good luck. No bad karma here:)

The biggest problem w/ shipping the Lionsteel first pending Seager's satisfaction of its condition is that he may not be satisfied with the condition. If he receives the Lionsteel and he doesn't like its condition, then he's going to conceivably be holding both knives hostage. No offense, but he seems a bit historionic about the scales and I would be nervous about that arrangement.

But, I will say that I don't see that Seager accused Iceman of intentional deceipt. I think he expressed extreme dissatisfaction with not getting the scales he wanted and a desire to undue the deal. He strongly feels that Iceman was wrong regardless of his intent and because of that wrongness, he should be able to dictate the terms of the re-exchange. Personally, I do not think it's a reasonable request given the circumstances.
