Problem with Buck's phone-in service???

:) :D Very nice to have you here SarahB, Welcome!:) :D I'm always quite pleased when a member of "the Buck team" addresses a problem and works to resolve the issue; especially in an open forum. Joe H. fields quite a few pop-flies and grounders, to the satisfaction of most customers. Buck has staked its name on quality products and customer satisfaction and I believe Buck does all it can to ensure both.
Now, about the future:rolleyes: ,could we ever expect the Company Store to have on-line sales?? So I can come home from work, kick my feet up, and browse the Company Store(instead of feebay) to see what new goodies are listed. Aren't there some young Bucks running around that need to be kept busy?;)

I couldn't agree more Scott!!!! I really wish Buck knives would do something like you describe with the company store! I know a gentleman who lives in Post Falls and gives me a heads up when theres a sale. Then I watch Feebay the next few days and see how all of the sellers "markup"(double or triple their cost) their items they just bought at Buck the day before. Maybe Larry Oden could be let in on the "top secret" :D sales? That would be fair for all - wouldn't it? BCCI members get a "heads up"? Maybe if we all go platinum we can get it- oh just kidding LOL

Maybe access would only be made available through the BCCI membership number? We can't just let the public share in "our" good deals on collectibles, can we?;)

i havent been able to acces the bcci site for about six months now :grumpy:
i think it was joe said he fixed it onnce but i never have been able to get on since :grumpy:

no it aint that , when i joined i recognized a good deal when i saw it so i went lifetime i think it was 150 outside of us , so i figure if i live another 5 years it will have paid for itself a few times over

I called Buck's 800 number [1-800-326-2825] today; asked for Customer Service...there is no Customer Service...they're all Customer Service... :D

Anyway, after getting about a dozen words in asking about getting a blade upgrade, I got handed off to a pleasant young voice named "Amber". "Amber" gave me the blade choices available, the price ($35 for any of the choices), and the address particulars. It took 6 1/2 minutes by my answering machine timer.

So, I packed up a decent enough 110 with a chunk broken out of the blade (thank you, eBay!) and will get it in the mail Monday.

And we shall see what we shall see... ;)

Preston - Give us a call back about that BCCI knife, we'll take care of ya! Or, you can email: BKComments@buckknives.com, and I'll take care of it (if you still don't trust our phone system) :)

Scott and wh4f - Sorry, we probably won't ever offer an online Factory Sale. We try not to compete directly with our dealers. But we do have an email list for BCCI members who would like to receive info on the sales or any time we have cool different models in the store. Give us a call or email the address above and we'll get you added. (That goes for any BCCI member too, by the way - only $100 for a lifetime membership)

Evil Eye Earl - Give us a call about the damascus...we have good news. :) 208-262-0500, ext. 134.

Don't we all wish... :(

It's 16 Oct; I sent my 110 in on 25 Sept for a blade upgrade. No luck.

The word from "Amber" and Joe is - no BG-42. I had that as my 1st choice. IIRC, I had 154CPM as my 2nd choice; with ATS-34 as 3rd choice.

Joe mentioned that he needed to take inventory of what steels he had available, and inform "Amber" and the others in the store so they would be aware as well. (Joe mentioned that my knife might be waiting for blades).

I'm not in any great hurry, but it was disappointing to hear that there weren't any other blade upgrade options. It looks like it's S30V or nothing... :(

trax when did you hear back from them ?

you prefer the bg42 to the s30v ? i dont have any bg42 that i use so i dont know what its like

i tried phoning last week and never got through and yesterday wh4f gave me a steer to this thread with the email for sarah so i sent one yesterday and am anxiously waiting to hear back from them , i needs some damascus :D

#10...
I have the same problem...I wanted to get BG-42 EDC but now I can't compare. So I too am interested in Trax's reply and pretty much anything else he has to say 'bout anything.

They have a few Damascus 110 blades left. Better hop on it...I've been a good boy this year, Christmas is coming, and I think I need to treat myself to one as others may as well.

yea goose thats what i am after is the 110 damascus with the jigged buffalo and nickle silver bolsters
the heck with christmas its my birthday in 11 days so hopefully i hear back from them before that

My last email was from Joe on the 10th (six days ago). I didn't ask about Damascus.

My latest idea was to get a set of 5 110's, one in each of the steels that have been offered (lately), discounting Damascus. Doesn't look like that's possible. :(

originally thats what i was thinking including the damascus and in many various scale combos (until i did the math)
so now what i would like is the damascus first then the s30v etc. etc.
