Problem with high end production knife...

Interestingly, I found this thread amusing/refreshing.

The OP asked the forum for advice on how to "fix" what he perceived to be a couple problems.

I for one am pleased to see that he fixed the problem(s) and is moving on with using/enjoying his knife with a satisfaction that the "fix" was done by himself to his level of acceptability vs. fretting about issues that could effect potential future value, warranty, etc.

If $400 is pocket change to a person then sure. It's best to get a new product without issues with a simple exchange from the dealer, especially at that price point. At $40 who cares. At Sebenza level prices there shouldn't be any visible flaws.
