Problem with poboy26

Absolutely not. Gav is tied for my favorite maker with G&G Hawk. At my high I had 6 of Michal's knives. That was when I realize I was a gaviholic and I had a problem.

"Hi may name is Greg and I'm a Gaviholic" ... Hi Greg...

The quality on his knives are great. If you can get one get one. Also the ordering is very fair. Although now that Michal has a little one he might see how people without the rug-rats constantly at their feet have a slight edge when hitting refresh over and over again trying to be 1st in the Que.

On another note. I've either been blocked on instagram by the poboy26 "girlsthatshoot" or he took all his photos down.

When you send it back to him make sure you send it back with tracking, signature required and insured. Also, you should make it C.O.D. for the amount of all of the shipping and insurance costs. Force him to pay for the postage and insurance which won't be cheap on a $600 knife if he wants it back.

Glad to see this worked out.

This is yet another fine example of why not to use PP gift.

I doubt we will see the seller take any responsibility here.....
But that is now only a problem for him.

Gavko,

I think Tomalock posted this to help the community not get scammed. It is not a reflection on your knives.
You have a great reputation and your knives are high quality. I'm not big into some of te designs as I like Gucci style knives, lol. But after what you just posted I'll be buying one if I can just because of the respect I have for your customer service!

Good post, and well stated.

I am sure you will take the high road and ship the knife back. I would do so with delivery confirmation and keep all your paperwork should he try to pull a fast one with PP. Requiring his signature for delivery may inconvenience him just enough to be more thoughtful next time!!

I want to send the knife back to him. I was going to wait until he contacted me to do so. He has my email, phone, and name here. The big problem is that you have to send the knife back to the Paypal address that paypal tells you to and that has to be there confirmed address. I'll wait it out a little bit and see if he txts me today. Somehow I get the feeling that the money is long withdrawn from his paypal account and he isn't going back to that one. But that's just a feeling, I'm sure he would never never do that. ...

add on - In the end the safest thing to do may be to send it to Michal, save poboy the shipping cost, and keep the knife under control in case he tries to pull something. I'm sure he would come out and claim it. But I'm really unsure what he can pull, I have a feeling a phone call to paypal could open this up again.

I'm sure there is a big fat negative balance in his paypal and I also have the knife.

Paypal refunds from the bank account linked to the PP account even if there are enough funds in the PP account.
I think you should tell the guy to pay for the return shipping. This will teach him to be more responsible in the future and that people are not stupid.

I agree that you should just hang on to the knife until PP tells you otherwise. I would really hate to see you ship that back and then the money getting jacked out of your account.

No No

No PP jokes here. I'll close this thread for now. If any new developments occur I'll have the thread re-opened.

As of right now Paypal is telling me that they have eaten the fee and that the seller has his money. They indicated that it may be scam behavior but in this case they have cleared it on both sides.

This is the widest claim in my history with paypal. They consider the case closed. I have send txts to Poboy with no response. It makes sense now becasue he has his money.

Thank you the the BF community and thank you for the support and advice. It help get that Paypal decision on the right side.
