problem with trade need your help

You say it as a joke, BUT it does have some ring of sense. two people purport to each other they have a specific item in xxxx condition for trade. They agree and the trade SHOULD then be a simple and very easy transaction. But when one party clearly starts to spew SH*T and has the other's property, then ships it back leaving said party in the hole, why is it not ethical to 'lien" his knife until he makes things as they were PRIOR to the trade. Should the good guy incur ALL the costs and just refuse the idiot's knife and chalk it up as a lesson learned or is it NOT TIME, the MORONS start paying up and they start learning a lesson? My opinion, but I see quite a bit of legitimacy to "holding" the knife until the deal is back to square one. I do NOT advocate keeping it however, just attaching it for all shipping costs.....wolf

I must say, having dealt with this "Jimmy The Jet" a$$hole before, you are completely right about him, and justified to call him an "idiot", a "spewer of sh*t", a "dope", and "not the brightest bulb on the tree". In fact I think he is just plain retarded. What kind of moron does not fully understand his countries customs regulations and taxation? So what if he has conducted numerous trade that did not involve any taxes - screw him. Jerks like this really piss me off. If he doesn't feel the need to defend himself on this, the holiest of forums, he MUST be 100% in the wrong. He must be stupid. And, he is most certainly a slimeball. There is absolutely no way he has his own version of this, and even if he did, it would obviously be riddled with lies. I say, we should never trade with him, ever again. Let's all get together, go up there and kick his dumb A$$ off our continent, and out of our forum forever. Besides, I hear he sold his gerbil farm, so we, here on this thread, have no more need for him

Hey Jet...

Ok,, you are Absolutely correct..

You do have a side of the story,, and certainly will have your own points to make...

From just Yiterp's side of the story,, it does sound pretty funny of a situation...

Ok,,so we've heard his side of the story,,have given our advice, yes somewhat unjust without hearing the other side of the story...

So now I'd really like to hear your side, so we can finish this saga off,,hopefully get it corrected and get you ro back on a somewhat friendly basis....

Having bad feeling and money owing ,whoever it may be is a pretty $hitty thing...No one wants to get badmouthed,,and no one should without just cause...

Jet,, the floor is yours...

Very interesting post Jimmy. You mention something about your side of the story. OK, let's see it. Even if you have what you think is a good reason not to go ahead with the deal, you have no right to expect the other party in this deal to have to pay the shipping charge. Have you offered to compensate Yiterp for his costs. These knives were sent to you in good faith and you decided for reasons beyond Yiterp's control that you did not wish to accept the shipment. It is your responsibility to make sure that Yiterp incures no costs at all because of this decision on your part.

If you did ship him the knives that you were supposed to, it is also your responsibility to cover all the costs involved in getting your knives back from him, since he was totally willing to go through with the deal. It seems to me that paying the taxes would be a lot cheaper than paying for all this shipping, or do you not plan on paying that either?

You say that you have done other trades and they went fine. That's great, but it is what you do when things don't go so well that will let people know if they should deal with you or not. Do you take responsibility for your actions, or do you just think of yourself and to hell with what problems your decision to back out of the deal causes the other person. If you plan on making things right, then great. If not, you are not the type of person that I personally would do any transactions with. In my books, it is a matter of ethics.

So Jimmy, WHERE is your side of the story? Now is the chance. Yup silence is golden, the Fifth ammendment, MIRANDA. Anything you say may just incriminate yourself. You have been painted in a poor light. So you post a self-degrading post INSTEAD of the issue of this entire thread. So stay a slimeball, stay a jerk, stay dumber than a tree-stump. That's KEWL. BUT also stay in MY mind and maybe others as a poor businessman, a poor sport, a poor trader and a GREAT RISK.....wolfmann@aol.com

Interesting.

I'd also like to see Jimmy The Jet's side of the story.

The quicker this situation can be resolved, the better off
for us all.

Jimmy, I believe the next move is yours.

Hey Guys..

Now,,hold on guys,,lets not get personal,,and try keeping this on a professional level...

Jet has a right to his side of the story,,and we should give him the room to speak if he so wishes,,if he doesn't thats his right as well..

Untimately this is between Jet and Yiterp,,we are just bystanders with maybe a slight vested interest...

Lets just keep it at a certain level and be respectful to everyone..:)

You are indeed correct, the next move was mine, and I made it. However, it's purpose was to clear the air with Yiterp, not the people reading and replying to this thread. I believe I have made ammends for any "wrongs" committed against him, and I stand by my actions and convictions, but I do not feel obliged to explain my actions to those not involve in the deal, hence my initial reply. Does that mean some or all of you will not trade with me in the future? Oh heavens, no, not that! People who pass judgement and post such things without hearing both sides first(as in, BEFORE throwing insults, insinuations, and smart a$$ comments at me) have nothing of value, nothing to offer me.

Jet

A number of people who have not made any comments are following this thread, and no doubt more will read it in the future. If you have anything to say to those people you could address it to them.

Poor sport?!? Are we playing hockey?? What have I been a poor sport about?

And as for being a GREAT RISK, the other guy comes out of this quite well ahead of where he was prior to this trade, and I come away with alot less than I started with. To trade with me means either an even trade or, if something goes wrong, I fix it.

Jet

That's great Jimmy. What I wanted to know was how you handle things when a deal doesn't go so well. It seems that you have made good, and that is all that can be asked.

Great jimmy, I apologize. you made it Good. great. Now the man who came out of this better than going in will post and end it. but jimmy, re-read your post. it is silly, it is a self-degrading post where you, YOURSELF call Yourself the same as I did BECAUSE you said so. If it were Hockey about two weeks into the "game" you just mighta been seated for a five minute major in the penalty box. So now you are a hero!!!!!!!Kick-save and a Beauty, Jett on the rebound he SCORES!!!! God Bless ya, wanna trade....DUH....wolf:rolleyes:

Jimmy The Jet has contacted me and and is trying to make everything ok
he says the knives i sent him are coming back to me and for the postage and the problems in the deal he is sending me two knives to
cover everything.when i recieve them i will post again so everyone will know he stood by his word.

Hey Yit & Jet....

This is Excellent ...

It shows that even when things look bad,, they can be worked out in a respectful adult manner...

Good to hear guys...
