Recently made a purchase from someone who I thought was trustworthy. After payment I haven't received tracking, the items purchased, not any responses from Eric Bosworth Eric Bosworth , I understand life happens but to be completely ghosted is not a good sign. Below is a link to the original ad and all the PM messages between the both of us. I'll chalk this up to a learning experience but I would not recommend doing business with this person...

He has two prior bad feedbacks, one was just over a month ago. Did you notice that? I know life can happen to any of us, but my own personal policy is that if someone has any negative feedback, I will not deal with them. It just helps to avoid any unnecessary drama.

Hopefully you will either eventually get your money back or the ammo will show up.

I did see the negative feedback but I didn't realize how recent it was. Lesson learned, it won't happen again.
 
Just got a knife from him and there was an issue with tracking also BUT it did show up and he did communicate 🤷‍♂️

Knife was as described and a good value.

I personally wouldn’t call him a problem, but I did just recently deal with a long time member who was simply better and a joy to interact with. Timely communication and quick shipping is definitely preferred but for those seeking a value and not in a hurry, he was fine.

I get it. Not a personal friend of mine or anything and I did receive communication. Just figured I’d mention the interaction and that I received what I paid for. Took about 10 days give or take.

He finally reached out and said he would have everything squared away today so we shall see. Hopefully he does, if so I'll eat crow on this....

Nothing to eat crow about. Sellers have a responsibility to communicate in a timely and effective manner, especially when they receive payment up front.

If a pattern of irresponsible and / or unethical behavior becomes apparent, selling privileges will be curtailed or the member's account may be banned.

I’m really sorry for the lack of communication I wrote you back today and told you I would send you tracking tonight, I have never not shipped an item over all these years and never will rip anyone off!!! I’ve had some major medical issues and a ton of other issues that has forced me to sell a lot of my collection off and had forced me to deal and recognize my limitations with my hopeful temporary handicap. I’ll send tracking when I get home

I understand stuff happens but communication is not that hard. I'd much rather you be up front and honest than completely ghost. Have you shipped yet? I still haven't received tracking.

I do disagree. Im on the autism spectrum and at least to me, whenever life happens, especially medical issues, it becomes nearly impossible to me communicate properly with others. Anxiety can also build up and make people feel overwhelmed with everything. Im not saying it is his case, but dont say that communication is "not hard", in such events it can be. The member has showed up and has a good long record of positive transactions, might deserve some extra patience on this matter. Good luck to all.

This member also has a history of excuses/reasons as to why he can’t deliver or communicate in a timely fashion… don’t put this on the buyer.
 
If a seller has some sort of unique circumstance, that would prohib them from communicating and shipping in a timely manner, they should state that up front. The buyer can then accept or decline to deal with it. Good communication and fast shipping are to be expected. If you can't do any of the above, then it is best not to sell.

When he finally replied yesterday he had zero mention of health issues. He stated that he didn't realize he couldn't ship via USPS so he was gonna send it UPS and send tracking last night. However, I never got tracking 😱 and then he says it's health issues. Again, I've been patient and try to work past this but clearly it's not gonna happen. So at this point I'd rather have a refund.

I kinda thought the same thing but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until you prove me wrong. 🤷
