I do disagree. Im on the autism spectrum and at least to me, whenever life happens, especially medical issues, it becomes nearly impossible to me communicate properly with others. Anxiety can also build up and make people feel overwhelmed with everything. Im not saying it is his case, but dont say that communication is "not hard", in such events it can be. The member has showed up and has a good long record of positive transactions, might deserve some extra patience on this matter. Good luck to all.
lots of people have disabilities that makes things harder on them in life. I worked for years with a fella that had aspergers. he let me know right away and was very open to explain things i wouldnt understand without an education on the subject. it was easy to accommodate his needs and make our work environment safe from an osha standpoint and easy for all of us.

i agree with Peter thoughts on the subject. selling items requires communication. if one is unable to do that. it should be told upfront.
if that isnt possible.. there are brokers to sell items for them. then communication and anxiety, stress and such are minimized.

I’m usually not this dogmatic but it’s completely unacceptable to not communicate due to “anxiety”. Don’t sell or do a transaction with someone if you think anxiety is going to prevent you from communicating or let them know you may be poor at communicating upfront BEFORE you accept their money. There are only a very few actually reasons to prevent someone from communicating for a period of time like a death in the family, literal emergency room or hospital visit or something extremely serious like this. Anxiety is NOT an emergency to prevent anyone from sending a quick message within a 24 hour period. I’d like to see the screen time record of someone who isn’t communicating to see how much social media, YouTube, X, TikTok, or other platforms they’re scrolling for hours every single day when they’re not communicating. Give me a break.

It’s kind of a bummer because I had 100+ really good deals before when the feedback when it was out of order or whatever was going on. I’m new to being issued and the depression that came along with it , also had 4 dogs die last year a house burned down that I was a part owner. Honestly just trying to survive, definitely was not trying to make life more difficult or stressful. I have slowed down. Try not to do too many seals at one time and get bogged down where I’m late or miscommunication until I can get well and back on 2 feet. Everything is going out. Nothing will be ripped off and you sincerely apologize for being waiting or lack of communication on my part. Eric.

Then you dont deserve to buy/trade/sell. No one here deserves to think theyve been screwed out of their money because the other party has some "anxiety".

Let's just agree that if you post a thread on this site to sell an item, it is your responsibility to fulfill your obligation to the buyer in an expeditious fashion...and that entails both timely communication as well as shipping.

If you can't do that, don't take the money up front.

(Let's avoid insults and invective.)

Ghosting someone on a deal especially after taking their money seems unexcusable to me unless you are actively dying in the hospital. I myself feel deeply uncomfortable until ive fufilled my end of the deal.

Delays happen. life happens, but if you have taken money from someone in exchange for something you are selling then at the very least you owe them the courtesy of knowing your time table or lack there of.

I’m beating a dead horse but this seller has done this 2 or 3 times. No doubt, if you have anxiety issues, not shipping is adding to your anxiety.

Just don’t sell here if you doubt your ability to carry out the communicating and shipping part. Otherwise you’ll likely be booted, and for good reason.

Absolutely, no question I’ve literally bought 1000 of knives, bought collection I didn’t really want, supported a few struggling knife makers. Always knowing if I ever really needed I could sell them, never thinking that would happen, but unfortunately my body and life hit a brick wall, and yes it effected my mind in many ways I’m just figuring out. All of you that keep saying I have ever stolen from anyone fuck you and say it to my face when I recover. I’ve had some poor communication and overwhelmed my self, if it wasn’t for a couple amazing friends that I helped when they were down I would have put a gun in my mouth a year ago when my 4 dogs died one every 2 months all from the same litter and my business got robbed for $400k then had a accident and hurt my back the had my rental property burn down, then ripped a tendon in my thigh. Whatever I’m not looking for pity just explaining, and hope no one else has anything near this happen. I had literally over 100 great sales over the period when feedback was not working so all you see is a couple of bad communications but never a history of theft. At this point sadly I have 3 bad feedback and will leave this forum that I’ve loved since before 2008 I already felt shity with 2 one being for a complete load of shit. I wouldn’t leave someone bad feedback unless they ripped me off. I’ve had plenty of shity buys that I let go. It never felt like death sentence worthy mistake. Please unless you know facts shut the fuck up about me being a thief, you’re a shitbag.

Who got screwed out of money?
I don't think anyone is saying you stole money , but bad communication creates a needless doubt to the buyer, that he or she might be being screwed
Try to do better and these threads will never be started in the 1st place. It is a pretty simple formula to having good sales
Descibe the item well
Good communication
And fast shipping
On buyers side-pay promply
Really not that hard
There is no need to create stress for your buyers, when a few words could relieve it.
They are just trying to buy a knife, not share in your problems.

I dont know why you quoted me for that specifically as I just made a general observation that I think is good practice for everyone, but as far as I can see not a single person has called you a thief. I understand that this feels like a dog pile thread, and the details of your situation seem tragic truly, but dead horse aside it really is just a matter of if you've committed to selling an item you just need to be transparent with your buyer or just wait until a time where you are able to do so.

SHARP1983 SHARP1983 please DM Boru13 Boru13 (and add me to the DM) to advise the status of the item upon receipt.

We'll reopen this thread at that time for you to update your report. (Until then, everyone can take ten.)
