Over a month ago I ordered a knife from Korin.com and paid with PayPal (since they wouldn't let me use my credit card). I'm in the UK.

When it hadn't turned up 3 weeks later I emailed to see what was going on. I got a response saying that it had been delivered and signed for at my address - however neither myself nor my girlfriend signed for it. There was no missed delivery card, and the post office have no record of anything. Now Korin is saying they are investigating on their end but it could take up to 3 weeks again. I'm not waiting that long because I have to file a PayPal dispute before then (why does that not make me feel like it will be alright in the end?). I'm starting to think I've lost the money now.

The tracking number they gave me works on the USPS site but it doesn't give any more information than 'delivered abroad'.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? Thanks.

The obvious things would be to check with your neighbours and double check the address it was sent to. You should also be able to check the signature and time of delivery.

If you call the P.O. they can check the rout with the international tracking number. Also get names and extention numbers of everyone you speak to. ;)

Hope you get something worked out, getting bumped is never good. :grumpy:

Thanks for the suggestions. They checked the address was correct and whilst the USPS site doesn't say what address it was sent to (for me, at least) they claim it was the right one.

I didn't think to check with the UK post office, didn't know the tracking number would work there. So I did check with the UK post office now and it says:

24-07-2008 10:39 Clayton Awaiting collection from Post Office
24-07-2008 10:37 Manchester Piccadilly Depot Parcel delivered
24-07-2008 01:20 Manchester Piccadilly Depot Out for delivery
24-07-2008 00:26 Manchester Piccadilly Depot Arrived at delivery depot
23-07-2008 18:51 National Hub Sorted in hub
23-07-2008 09:38 International Hub En route to delivery depot
23-07-2008 09:37 International Hub Arrived in destination country
17-07-2008 17:48 CAPE FOREIGN CENTER JERSEY CITY NJ 099 Left origin country
16-07-2008 13:30 Delivery Agent - UNITED STATES AMERICA Collected from customer

Would you think, as I do, that this means it is waiting at the post office for me? If so, this confuses me because I went there and asked if there was anything waiting for me and they said no...

The scan that says it is waiting for you at Clayton occured AFTER the scan that indicates delivery. That is proof positive that the item was not delivered (or they wouldn't still have it to scan at 10:39). Point out the impossibility of the scan events - how did they scan at 10:39 if the parcel was delivered at 10:37? - and they should take you seriously. Hopefully it is waiting for you at Clayton. Good luck!

I checked at Clayton and it was there!

However the moronic bureaucrat behind the desk wouldn't give it to me despite having 6 forms on ID on me and proof of address because the useless idiots at Parcel Farce hadn't left me a card.

So now I've got to wait for them to redeliver a card before I can go and pick it up again (I didn't trust them to redeliver the item).

Thanks for the help, if it weren't for posting here I'd never have found out where it was.
