I did have one fellow tell me that he sent his knife in without the blade. Claimed that the blade broke at the pivot and they installed a new one. Now if he was being honest I'm not sure. He could have been sitting on the old blade and made up a lie to get the replacement...Unfortunately. You cant.
send it in and get a NEW satin blade.
They re-bladed a 740 Dejavoo. And it was like new again.
But seeing as to you want to keep it. I would stone wash it.
and re grind to your preferred edge angle.
