I sure as hell would think long and hard before I gave someone I didn't know my bank acc't #, name, address etc., and can't blame anyone for not wanting to do that. As others said, this situation sounds fishy to me, and BG was just trying to prevent others from possibly being taken, oh, what a horrible bastard he is.

Yes, if you know somebody, or if it's 2 businesses where there is a certain amount of mutual trust that's warranted, then this sort of bank transfer might be fine, but in this case, I wouldn't have given the prospective buyer the info he wanted and I'm glad BG posted.

Thanks bro.

Not a chance in hell! Western Union, International money order paypal, whatever, but absolutely no one gets my acct number and personal info. I have only had that request once and I wouldn't give the person my info. I would rather lose the sale. Call me paranoid but there's no need to do a transfer when there are other safer methods of payment.

Was in Banking for almost 2 decades a NO one ever gets my Acct. digits.
routing #'s etc..."Parker"....Has been in Banking for yrs. as well, and I bet ya he says the same thing:) Just my opinion.

Loandr.
