Production Fixed Blade: 5"-7" What would you get?

Strider Mark1A $450.
SOG Team Leader (duratec) $260.

That is all I would want in that size.

If money doesn't count, I want the SFNO LE with the fancy micarta handles I saw in one of Busse forum threads. But thats a LOT more than a $400 if.

Chrisaloia,
Do you think we will every actually see the Duratec SOG Team Leader? I have three of the SOG BG42 Field Knives and loosing the hugh choil (ricasso?) would be nice. Sorry it is late.
Ron Athay

Ron Athay, I didn't know they were not offered. Thanks for making me aware of that. It looks great. Is BG42 losing the ricasso from too much sharpening?

What are you using to sharpen it?

Chris

I've owned a Ranger RD7, Scrap Yard Scrapper 6, Yard Guard, Ka-Bar....and still my go to blade is a Cold Steel SRK. I do have a custom 5.5" Ranger but if I did not, the SRK would suit me just fine.

Good balance, takes a good edge and in a custom Blade Tech kydex sheath, it's hard to beat.

Readily available, no wait and not a bank buster. Carbon V blades are plentiful and not over priced like the BK7's.

hatchet-

The Cold Steel Recon Scout in Carbon V is hard to beat for the price. There are many quality knives out there in this size range. As mentioned anything by Busse, Swamp Rat, Scrapyard or Strider. The Becker CU7. The Ontario Rat5 or 7. The Bark River Socom7. The Spyderco/Hossom Woodlander or Forager. The list goes on and on...

Peace-
Cam
