So I know a guy that wants a production knife with no wait and easy to replace. These are his wishes.
-No choil
-No coating
-No bigger than a 4" blade
-Carbon steel preferred (good luck)
-Full tang

What can you guys come up with?

I've always like the Benchmade Snody. Tiny choil.

There's a shorter version for less too.

Then there's always Mora, ragweedforge is awesome to deal with to.

The full tang is the problem. You know that you could keep him knee deep in Moras which he can abuse with wild abandon, but none have the full tang.

Maybe a used Ontario Rat-3...but there's the coating to deal with. It's easy to remove with paint stripper though.

Daniel Koster Bushcraft knife. Daniel has his own forum here if you want to have a look.

Grohmann #1 DH Russel Canadian Belt Knife this meets all your criteria and reasonably priced at around $60, available in stainless or carbon steel., 4" blade

or the Grohmann #3 Boat Knife, one of my favourites, this used to be standard issue to the Canadian military, also available in carbon steel, 4" blade

I believe both are also available with a flat grind, as well as natural or synthetic handle material.

I wouldn't necessarily call these production knives, I visited the factory in Nova Scotia in August and was surprised that with the exception of the press that punches out the blanks, just about every stage is done by hand, there are no CNC machines in the Grohmann factory.

Yup, I'd say the Grohman is likely his best bet.

If D2 can be considered a carbon steel, Queen makes a line of fixed hunting blades that fit his requirements.

How about an Enzo? If he doesn't want to build the kit he can always just buy a blank and do a paracord wrap.

How about an Enzo Trapper? Ben's has them already assembled in 01 if he doesn't want to go the kit route.

Fallkniven H1, though it is stainless. On the carbon side, I'd go with the Bark River Woodland Special; I don't really consider it to have a choil.

Also, you can always get some great Farmer knives at http://www.workingknives.com

 Highland special - Barky
(I protested reading that barky thread)

Enzo here too. I would also like to say my wife absolutely loves the 210 Activator she swiped from me. Very nice knife, thin , very thin scales though. But could be very easily remedied.
