production made bowie

ALLot of great suggestions here, Thanks... It seems they are now doing a remake of the Recon scout, and have jacked up the price a bit.. Guess I'll have to shop around... I love the look o the rogue but at over 200 that's a little pricy for me as well.... Look like I got some shopping to do...

The Trailmaster is a little big for the brief. The Recon Scout is for all practical purposes just a smaller Trailmaster. It is my understanding that the steel used for that might actually give away a gnats in edge retention for superior toughness over the originals too.

Becker BK-7 for sure.
Having said that, I have an inexpensive KaBar Army model in the 7 inch range.
Took it with me on my trip to Newfoundland a couple of weeks ago because I
wanted to take a knife that was bigger and was paranoid of losing any of my
more expensive knives. It worked great for battoning. No problems at all in
that regard.
Was about $40 cheaper (Canada) than the Beckers, and it performed well.

Cheers

John, I have bought and sold several Rogue Bowie’s through the years, and $125 to $130 is a reasonable price to pay for one on the aftermarket.

In fact, a $99 investment and several astute trades put that coveted Big Horn Sheep handled Rogue in my hands.

And no, :p ...it’s not for sale. :p
