Production of CS 112's to Start Soon....YES!!!

Today when I was ordering one more CS 112 I was asked to pass on a little info to all my fellow BuckNuts;;;;;; A problem with the blades being level when closed is almost fixed and production is expected to start in 5 days or so.That is really good news!!!! It has been reported on the forum too that there is not going to be a special tang stamps for CS 112's... That has been confirmed..BUT !! I asked why there could not be some sort of special mark ADDED to the regular tang stamp to ID this Custom Shop run !! I sugested even something as simple as a dot...or a / mark or even a *...Folks there are less than 100.THEY WILL BE CHASED!! I was told that was a really good idea and it would be passed along . I sure hope Buck does add/stamp ANYTHING on this verry,verry,verrrry special run....All yall old-timers,what do you think Buck should add ????

Ya beat me to it! Yep, that's what I was told too. I'm not a Buck "old-timer" but I like the idea of a * .
 
hummm my thought would be that they could be engraved as
say only 80 will be made..
as
1 / CS 80
or
CS- 80 / 80
with the CS = custom shop and no. 1 of 80
this would be the best they could do
short of stamping the 112 blade with the 111 stamp! :eek:
of course the * in front of the 112 would be a very unique mark also in its own right!!!

the more i think o f it yep i could go for the dot!!!

I've got 3 on order. I'd like a simpler mark. A "*" or something would work well for me. Mine are not going to be safe queens - well, for sure one of them won't be (we'll see what the recipients of the other 2 do with them).
 
Thanks for the info...I've been waiting impatiently for the two I have on order. I think they should get a "BS" stamp on the back side of the blade. Why a "BS"; well in my opinion Clint was pushing for these to be made for a long time and the BS = Bucksway. What do you all think?

You know its hard for me to understand why they can't just stamp it

Thats what's on my Customs 110's I got a couple of months ago and that's what I'd prefer on my five 112's.

Why does a Custom Shop Ordered knife need the 112? IMO, it doesn't.

Anyway, it does need some sort of designation as a CS knife. A "*" might be good. That is liable to be a head scratcher in 30 years.
 
Sorry to change the subject, but on these CS 112's what options were available? Blade steel, handle material and frame? Sounds like a cool idea! ;)

Jimbo,

The deal is still on...just call the CS and place your order. The same options and pricing as the CS 110's. Better hurry; I think the offer ends today!

We who order know its a CS112...And it's true that with a 2008 tang stamp it's "odd" confegeration indicates it's a custom...I still think a 'mark' of some kind is a good idea... CHUCK !! GIVE THEM A SIGN !!!

This is BUCKSWAY Not Dave... I cant wait to get mine but I'mm a gonna be tough...When UPs brings'em I'll not open the box till Christmas....Man its gonna hurt........

Clint, surely, as a young boy, you must have unwrapped a present or two when your parents weren't looking and then wrapped them back up. Bet you haven't forgotten how to do that!! :)
 
Has anyone got their CS112? I forgot to ask Pete what decisison was made on the stamp?? Sing out fellas if you know.
 
Update from the guys that know:

The stamp will be the regular Buck,112>,USA stamp. It will have the S30V Bos stamping if that's what you ordered. Other wise, its just the standard markings. That's to bad as I was hoping for a Custom shop designation...but hey, we're getting our CS112s. Hard to complain about that.:thumbup:
 
Ups has always brought my 'regular' Bucks...I've neaver ordered a custom...Yep,I want to be surprised on Christmas! 2 Custom Bucks...PRICELESS! I cant say right now if FOR SURE I wont take a peek but a least I know I'll have one cool present.
