Mr W,You ordered 4 or 5 at least..None come yet ?? Im not sure if Pete put both in the box or one for me..Since Buck first announced taking orders Ive been chomp'in at the bit to get mine and now its only 2 more days! Maybe there will be another chance in 09..If so I will make SURE I get 7 to 12 more just to display Plus one EDC for sure too.....
 
Well when the clear 112 comes from you THAT will be opened at the mailbox! Mabe it will help..

I wan't to tell a story of Buck Customer Service.
One of the CS112's that I ordered was meant as a Christmas Gift for my father. Late in the previous week I called Pete and asked if my order had gone out. It had not; so I asked Pete to seperate one of the knives and ship directly to Dad. Not only did Pete do this, he would not let me pay for the that add'l shipping and further shipped it in an expedited manner with UPS. So Dad will be opening his CS112 this morning. I find that to be a superb effort by a good man working for a great Company.

I'm still waiting for the ones coming to me so all ya'll that waited for Christmas Day to see your CS112 be sure to post up pictures for us ones that still don't have theirs.
 
Just opened it!!! My first CS 112! It was just as I origionaly ordered..NS, Figi Orange,finger grooves, no rivits,distressed tan sheath...I had called to up-grade to Koa later that day...But I guess that did not make the work order,and I ended up saving 45.00. Buck ya do great work! Also its S30V with the BOS stamp on the reverse tang...A really striking 112! Now all I gotto do is hang in there for the 2nd one...Merry Christmas!
 
Clint, that's to bad about the KOA wood... Maybe you can call Joe and see if they can't take care that for you... But I'm sure that Fig Orange wood looks good too... :) :D :) ....

I thought about that... and decided not to...It was the first CS112 ordered and even tho Koa is really a great wood I dont want to have to send it in ,wait however long it would take,pay the upcharge ,ect. ect. If they had charged me for Koa well,yes...I should have known when he told me the ammount on my card. Mabe in 2009 Buck will open the ordering window again! Its going to spend it's days in my display case anyway.
 
wow i feel for you guys..the new toys not arriving for the big day..
i was going to get several new knives but life interfered ..
at least you know they will get there some time soon!
 
Talked to Dad and he was delighted with the Heritage Walnut, NS, & rivets. This knife is his first S30V blade and he is mightly impressed with it. I wish I could have been there but that wasn't possible.

Lets start seeing to pics on this thread. Merry Christmas All.

All the older kids & grandkids have gone back to their homes:(. It could not have been a better day...God Bless us everyone!!!.

Now that it is quiet and calm I got to take a few photo's for all to see:). The CS NK Rammy with S30V and the CS NK Sambar Stag with S30V are perfect in every way. Thank you BKI

Buck tooks orders for 60 days and that ended on the 31st of Oct. They are no longer available unless Buck opens the orders up again.

Alot of people saved them to open for Christmas. Mine aren't here yet but Dad's made it to him...here it is H. Walnut, NS, Rivets, S30V

Mine came with S30V but its gonna be a display queen..The old dillema,a nice collector Buck...I have a few edc's ...I just might have to!
 
Interesting observation for our new CS 112's. The Boss Logo & S30V marking on the back of the blades are laser etched. While the Buck, 112/year mark, USA are stamped on the front of the blade. The card sent with my knives show that Richard made both of the knives for me...Thank you Richard!. The card also shows that these knives were quality inspected by three different people...each of these folks signed my card and have very good QC skills because these two knives are outstanding;)

Oh, I forgot to tell you that I was also sent a Tempest tie pin....super cool!!! The Tempest is my EDC knife. I never, leave home without it.

Caine, I was posting on another site more geared for Hunting and Fishing with a small subforum for knifes that I post on once in a while. I made the comment to one of the regular over there I would love a 112 in high end steel. His suggestion was to come over to BladeForum and start a petition to show to Buck. So I came over and started agitating with a lot of "I want this" type threads. Of course many others had done so before and kept it up after I slowed down talking about it.

The good news is CJ Buck and Joe Houser read this forum and the decision got made to allow a short order period for CS112s. We got lucky. But nobody really got told other than word of mouth here on the board and I assume employee word of mouth.

It took a lot of folks saying they wanted one of these knives built before it happened.

Keep looking on the Bay. I know a that a couple of fellows placed big orders like 10 so you may see a few for sale. Good Luck.
