Production Schedule & New Projects

Shon and I were talking about that yesterday. It's still looking promising. The first thing we are going to send out are all the contest knives and individual military orders. After those go out then we will start shipping dealers. THERE WILL BE NO RC-6 KNIVES WITH MOLLE BACK SHIPPED. So, if you have one of those on pre-order from a dealer, we cannot even begin to guess when those will ship to dealers. The ONLY knives that will ship to begin with are RC-6 with molded sheath and a set of MOLLE locks. Again, it looks like we're still on track to start shipping around that date but it's going to be slow to start with as far as filling orders. If Shon sees it otherwise, I know he will post up here.

Just so everyone knows, due to order backlogs and variations (colors, etc), we are behind on shipping regular RC-3 and RC-4 knives. We're hoping to begin shipping our regular stock in about 2 more weeks. We've got it coming through the line now.
 
Izula is still a ways out. RC-6 will have a MOLLE back in the future.
 
Hi Jeff;
We have a team of guys deployed to Texas for the hurricanes. I was thinking a no bullshit stainless hard use knife would be a useful addition to their kit. Any plans for a stainless RC knife?
 
Actually, yes. Again, not sure when we will get to it but that one is definitely something we will do in the future.
 
I dont think its good for my health to drool over these knives every day until they are released. "girlfriend thinks I have issues lol"

I know its been asked 1000+ times but any chance of Izula by Christmas?

I am absolutely amazed at the way you guys at RAT Cutlery handle your customer/fan base. I posted that question just minutes ago and received a response in minutes. Its refreshing to see such great customer service when all other businesses are outsourcing and disassociating themselves from not only the US but their customers. Anyways MUCH THANKS to you guys at RAT you will defiantly be receiving my business, multiple Izulas (gotta get a pink one too;) ), and at least one SERE.

I'm not going to give you an exact date, but we are close. We have all of the production tooling done and the knife blanks are ready to grind. At the moment, the only thing we have left to do is finish machining the plastic injection mold for the sheath. Due to very complex shrinkage issues in the molding process we must get the sheaths made before we do the finial grinding of the blades. That way we can tweak the blade grinds here and there insuring the fit and finish you all deserve is there. After that we should start shipping. It will be worth the wait! You all are going to love this setup!
 
Thats great news, can't wait for the Izula. I think the anticipation is literally going to kill me!
