Whoa, this is a nice knife in a larger format than the several others I got from Michael. Michael's fit and finish are always exemplary. When I receive a custom knife I always look it over. Then I usually use it for a bit and end up filing/sanding the lead edge of the scales and where I place my thumb on the spine or maybe refininshing the handle. Michaels knives have all been very symmetrical, with well smoothed edges and perfect grinds. The hollow ground blades have all come shaving sharp and very easy to touch up on sharpmaker or my course/fine diastone. His sheaths are unique as they are not made from that hard, water formed leather, but from softer leather which relies on precise fit and friction for security. The sheaths are the best functioning ones I have for ease of draw and I can turn it upside down and shake it and it still will not fall out.
His bio says he's a machinist, but from the precision of his work he seems part machine:D, but by lookin' at this knife ya know he's got passion for what he does.

I agree monkeybutt. I have a couple of Michael's knives and they are nothing short of awesome. I even had one made for my Father-in-Law for Father's Day that Michael took the time to inscribe. I have never seen someone so impressed with a gift. I'm not sure if they are shaving sharp because the hairs on my arm began to jump off at the sight of these blades.:D I highly recommend this knife.

I received the knife today and all I can say is WOW! That is one hell of a well made knife. It will definitely be one of my favorites and will be carried everywhere I go. Fit and finish are flawless. The sheath is one of the nicest I've seen in years. If you are thinking of buying one of Michael's knives, don't hesitate a minute, or you could lose out on a great deal. The knife was under-priced as I see it. Shipping was fast. A great deal all around.Thank you.
