Excellent idea
New hell, you been on the forums almost 15 yearsfairly new to the forum
I think you'll get your wish on the etch. I just talked to GEC's art wizard, and asked for one that fit in with the "antiques" I have shown in post number one!!Well, a pleasant surprise! I thought the bunny knife idea wasn’t favoured, so very pleased that rabbit is back on the menu and thanks Charlie from Australia!
And of course, thanks that we have a forum knife.
And fitting that a bunny knife is a .22
I like the match to a traditional pattern a lot, but I wonder if the etch could be more similar in style to W.JNO Baker, or Rodgers, i.e. with font that is more square. It’s just flavoursome for that era and for that knife.
Silver will go back up again!! And you'll always have that JR Bunny!!You're a glutton for punishment Charlie!![]()
Well done mate, hope it's easier this year
You should bring @Quiet in to ride shotgun!

Correct. This one is 3.5" closed, with, I prophesy, about a 2.6" main blade. 2021 was 3 & 7/8" closed with a 3" blade.Looks nice! It's smaller than last year's knife, correct?
Three pins, four pins; less pins, more pins!!The knife has four pins when open and three when closed. What kind of sorcery is this?!

JK! Probably a rendering error!
I'm in for one assuming I qualify. Thanks for doing this again Charlie!
What are the covers on these typically made of? I would love to see these with black micarta for the synthetic covers!
With our inflation rate rapidly having gone from 0% to 10% (and far more than that in the supermarkets), I wish my savings were in silver, rather than in the bank!Silver will go back up again!! And you'll always have that JR Bunny!!![]()
Yeah, I joined a long time ago but just recently started visiting on a regular basis. I guess that’s why I was considering myself a newbNew hell, you been on the forums almost 15 years
Don’t take it personal, just having a little fun and trying to boost my Traditional post count at the same time… think I’m up to 25 now

Some years ago, settling Australians thought introducing rabbits to their environment would be a good idea, providing a ready source of food in an ideal climate. Too good an idea as it turns out; they rabbits quickly over-ran the country!!!
But it did provide a great opportunity for the cutlery industry!!View attachment 1863518View attachment 1863520View attachment 1863521
In chatting them up with GEC over the last few years, Bill has come around with a proposal for us, for a 2022 Bladeforums knife!!
Most of the ones I have seen were 2-blades, with a clip and a pen being the most sought after versions. They also had matte black synthetic handles!!
Here is GEC's offering!!View attachment 1863523A traditional pattern for which I am looking into a new, improved qualification and distribution system!!
I wasn't going to get involved in another BF knife, but It has fallen into my lap!!
Please leave me some simple feedback, and we'll see if this works!!
Last years knife actually worked pretty well, with a small percentage of cheaters and flippers making outsized trouble for us, so I am working on a better system - to be continued!!
