Does Protech have good customer service? Before I bought my runt 2, I always heard they had decent service but since then, I have changed my mind. About a week after I bought my runt 2, the spring broke. OK, so I call dave and he will send me out a few springs free, just like that! here I am 5 months later, still waiting for some springs. I have emailed dave and tried calling many time with no luck:(

Is it just me or are they just another Microtech?

Sorry to hear you are having problems getting your replacement parts. I have one dealing with Microtech (Dave) and it went very smooth...

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

i've only had one dealing with dave as far as sending a knife back, and it was because i stripped the screws. it came back quick and good as new, and for less than i would have expected. i've posted a time or two over at KF and it took a while for him to respond to posts, but he is a fairly new father and from what i understand does most of the customer service stuff himself. not that it's an excuse, but things do get hectic sometimes. you might try posting over in KF, and if i get a chance later i'll post a link to this thread over there. take care,

Winston

Try calling again. Voice mail works best right now if that's what you get.

He's really busy preparing for the Blade Show but can pretty much guarantee he'll have time to get you a couple of springs out... :)
