Hey, this one is kinda unusual, don't remember hearing the specs on it before. Could you (anyone who knows) give some dimensions?
TIA;)

We'll have to wait for Sal to give us exact specs. As I recall, though, the blade is about the same size as the Cricket that it resembles & AOL is about 5 1/2". FWIW, the pic is of the Ti model -- the steel looks the same -- and it weights practically nothing. Being both a Perrin and Cricket fan, this one is a "must have" for me.

Whoa! That knife looks pretty neat. Thanks for the great pic, Brian.

It seems like it has the basic outline of a kerambit, but the finger hole is right below the blade, like on other Perrin knives. Plus, the blade isn't a simple hook; it has the big belly that's typical of Spyderco hawkbills.

I'd guess that there are a lot of different grips you could use with this knife, but I wonder if you can put a finger or two inside of the main part of the handle. I don't know... interesting possibilities there.

Being a HUGE FAN of the Emerson/Perrin LaGriffe and Mr. Perrin's neat work in general, I have to say that is going to be a must-have item if it is ever produced. That has the capability of being a rage around this place.

Up until now, the Masters of Defense Scorpion was my second favorite knife behind the Emerson/Perrin LaGriffe, this one just beat the MOD Scorpion hands down and any of them are better than the Microtech Medallion thingy...haha!

[Excellent quality on the MT, I just don't care for it, I think part of it has to do with power and the defensive nature of neck knives in general. You want something small and comfortable to carry and has the ability to cut much more than size would hint at! That's why I like the little hook-blade knives like the two I cited and this one from Spyderco [Proto] has just enough hook on the end to work very well.]

Seriously, this is a very cool neck knife, to say the least.

Cerulean, IMO, the opening in the main part of the handle keeps down the weight & can help in grip transitions but it's a bit small for fingers.

Ti is interesting. I don't think weight would be too much of an issue being the size it is.
I hope the steel version(if made) will be a higher grade steel, and not the economy aus6. Something this specific and 'specialized', should go all the way for the few who don't have to think twice about the price.

I don't have a problem with aus6, but I don't think this particular design should retail for the masses either,IMHO.

Wow! Finally a production La Griffe with proper edge-geometry ;)
I like the emerson La Griffe, but I don't like the chisel edge. Per usual Spyderco quality, this little beast should not only rip, but also slice and cut!! Please, make this one a production piece!

The picture looks interesting...I hope this one makes it to production, and as menitoned, in a higher grade steel.

I am a huge fan of Fred Perrin's work, this knife, should it be produced, is an absolute must have! I want one, I want one, I want one...

Beautiful, I 'd like more of a spearpoint but then this knife isn't in my hands yet. The kydex will be interesting.

That looks great. I agree with the comment about edge geometry as well; I really like the Emerson Griffe, but find it less useful than it could be for a lot of general cutting. One question though: Can you open a beer bottle with the handle?

Supa Schweet.

May I suggest that the hole be larger than the LaGriffe hole? I have considered getting a LaGriffe, but I find the hole a little too small.

That's OK, just so we hear from you once in awhile!
Hope all is well with you. I like your website, one of these days I'm gonna take the time to do one of my own.
