Proto Photo - Glesser/Perrin NK

The steel in the skeletonized version is bead blasted AUS-6. The steel in the micarta scale version is VG-10 satin finish.

Nakano & Rugger, the position of the point is more center than it might appear. You'll have to get one in your hand to know what I'm talking about.

MDP, I considered your request for a larger hole than the Perrin LaGriffe. However, in circulating prototypes to "zero in" on a hole size that would accomodate the most hands, we ended up with a 23mm hole which is very close to the Perrin size. Apologies.

Makes sense Sal. I' ll get a hold of one to see if that is the case. I guess a pic may sometimes give an appearance than what really is. That S curve edge may be "camouflaging" its actual angles. But I will take you up on your offer to have one reground should it come to that! :) Thanks.

Saw pics before, as the 2002 line up was introduced to spydie-land (home forum). :D

Now after seeing the stats I'll be grabbing one as soon as I can!
one of each if possible.

I think not. I don't get neck knives, but apparently a lot of people do. I'll stick to my FRN Cricket.

After lusting after the protos at the NYC show last year, I'm patiently waiting for the finished product to hit the streets.
This ends my subtle nudge to encourage/speed-up production.

Can anyone give me an update on the status of this neck knife?

I have a cricket and love the blade geometry. It's much more versatile than it first appears. I would very much like to have this in a fixed blade configuration.

Is the neck knife version set to ship soon?

I might have to start selling stuff on ebay so I can afford one!

I will definitely find a way to buy one!!

:D
