Protourist!

I was at first going to go with Ebony to honor the original, then I started getting wishy-washy and leaning toward my maple burl with red liners.

Now I gotta have snakewood!! What do you think?

I think snakewood will be really cool. I wanna see that. But the burl with red liners sounds good too. Hmmmmmmm...

Yea - I am going back and forth on that - I have a few weeks to decide. Maybe snakewood on the RN9.....

I am finally home and I have been playing with this beauty. No pics yet, after being away from home for 11 months there are a few things I need to get done first.

Thank you John, I love it.
Thanks to all of you that played with it. I sure enjoyed the whole process.

Hi Mack -

Glad you are finally home! I know it has been a rough few months for you, enjoy!!

:D
Good times and bad times will pass, JKs will last forever.

John, this knife turned out far better than I had imagined it. The balance is perfect. It is far more nimble than I pictured and the tip is absolutely perfect. The tip is what amazes me the most. It is needle sharp and still ridiculously strong.
Well done sir!!!

When I got home I was talking to the neighbors about fillet knives. I got my Knives of Alaska Steelheader out and was shocked. Take a look at the blades.

Melvin-Purvis called this a "fillet knife for bears". I guess he was right.
