psk knife photo thread

does anyone know how much it would cost to heat treat a small blade like that? and where I could get it done?

I've only posted a few times on the form, but I love to reading the posts. I've learned a lot from everyone.Do they still make and sell the book 6 ways in 12 ways out and where do you order it from? It sounds like it would be a good read.

You can order 6 ways in 12 ways out direct from the USRSOG site. Link below.

Awesome thread i'm going to have to pick up one of these survival tin setups.

If you want to mail it to Canada I'd do it for you for free.

Bruce

Thanks for the offer but it would probably take a month or two to get it up there and back.

Although I personally do not carry a PSK, I am working on a neck knife idea with a minimal psk. I will post pics tomorrow hopefully..

Just put this kit together recently. Blade is a SAK Rucksack.

Pitdog, in the pic you posted. I took one of the bottom ones and made kydex sheath for it and then other I use at my knife making shop for cutting boxes open when knife making supplies come in.

I took the top one I made a kydex sheath for it and use it as a neck knife. It is on the far left in the pic along with some other knife designs I made up for use as neck knives too.

I really liked the knife and the video that Pict. did on his neck knife.

I liked the knife design that he has and so I made one like it. but with more belly and a way less riccoso.

Here is the knife design that I did and put it next to a RAT 3 that I have.

Then I got to thinking what if I made a smaller one PSK size and this is what I came up with it is called the M-6/12 in honor of George Jasper the head guy of the United Stated Rescue and Special Operations Group his survival / SERE book called Six Ways In and Twelve Ways Out.

The M stands for mini. Since there is a another knife called the 6/12 that is regular size that I made for George and some of his friends of the US RSOG.

I really like this design so I and since one knife just never seems to do it all, I decided I wanted
small, med. and large.:D The handles shapes are just a little different.

So that is the update.

Thanks for the update Bryan, some sweet looking neckers/PSK knives there.;)

I can remember you mentioning the M6/12 recently, looks a handy little guy !

Here's a wacky design I came up with recently, I'm thinking the handle would be about 3 1/2" and the blade about 1 3/4" !

I love my RSK® Mk5, Doug Ritter really put a lot of thinking behind this little back up blade.

This little knife I made out of a hacksaw blade. I got the idea from a US army guy that made on for his PSK. It is very handy to have.
