*pst* I see some more 0551's...

Ordered my first ZT Sunday night. Model 0551 should be here soon as I have a USPS number. Seems that many of you like this model and I just wanted to give ZT a try. The only other one in that size and weight might be the Buck Strider which was a good buy I felt. Not used to carrying a EDC of that weight. The blade steel is what was the deciding factor.
 
I think the 0551/0550 will be the flagship of the ZT line. I honestly do.
 
I got mine today..Wonderful knife, much lighter than I thought it would have been considering how heavy duty it is. I love it, worth more than I paid for it no doubt..Cant say enough good about it.
 
Mine shipped today. GP Knives got five in, and a kind soul here at BFC gave me a heads up in time.

On a related note i got my 3 ZT 0551s from kershawguy last week, I'll probably let one go since I pre-ordered a 0561.

I don't know if knifeworks got any from this last batch. I've had my pre order in since March 11 though. NGK is sold out. :(
 
Yeah, three popped up on NGK's site, and I ordered one.
But after an email to confirm, it turned out they had a glitch in their online inventory.
They had just sold out the day before.

Did you tell them to send you a glitch knife for free?
 
They emailed me one. For some reason, it's just not the same. Won't hold an edge at all and is actually kind of hard to see without a lot of tequila.
 
Mine arrived today from New Graham (serial # 1188). This is my first ZT and I absolutely love it! Very well made knife.

I have a 560 pre ordered and can't wait for it to get here....
 
I have a 550 pre-ordered from Knifeworks, any idea when we'll see some of those? They told me late July when I called them, but I figure Thomas can answer the question much better.
 
yep, it got that way after a few of them on auction went for $300+, heck any ZT 300 series or above is going for well over $250 right now..Sawa 301 go for something like $280 on there the other day..

I see it as what the market will bear for when the buyer was not savvy enough to have bought elsewhere or in time. Often Ebay is the only place you will be able to find some blades and unfortunately you will have to bite the bullet.



Also, I have been tempted to sell my ZT 0302 there since the last one went for $375(although new condition) and a current one bidding is up to $280 with 7 days until the auction is over.

302's are not easy to find anymore, at all..When they do pop up on ebay they go for a premium..even used ones..I was just lucky enough to find one from a memeber here NIB for a good price..Im tickled to death to find it as I have looked for one a long time. Seriously, months checking no less than four classified knife for sale forum boards at least once per day..never found one..Checked every little business that carried ZT hoping for a old/new stock 302..I was about to give up..I just couldent afford to pay the ebay prices and they arnt even on ebay that often..
