Yoyoyo Emerson Forum. I have never really checked in here before a couple of nights ago when I got an out of the blue fever for the flavor for an Emerson folder. Not sure what flipped that switch but, rather than stew and wait, I'm just going to go for it. Tonight!

My criteria is this: super bad ass.

I want this thing here by Saturday so the order goes in some time tonight. The Super Commander has been calling to me, big time. Is there something way more wicked or should I just pull the trigger on that? What are your favorite configurations? Finally, is there a better spot than another to order from?

Thanks for any input, advice, pictures.

Super commander is awesome... I went Ubr:

But I have to say that I love the CQC 13:

Congratulations, I order straight from emerson. On both occasions had the knife in 2 business days.

Comander looks B.. a.. Do it.

Super Commander is definitely one bad hombre. If you want something pointier, the Zealot and Tiger limited editions are great. For overall badazzness, I'm leaning Super Roadhouse to tell the truth. Ain't nothing like a Roadhouse in a reverse grip.

Or of course a Persian...

Commander is by far my favorite model regardless of the size you choose. However id push you towards the tiger as it is a limited run

Never seen the Persian. Looks pretty wicked. Super Roadbouse was not even on the radar. Going to look for some pics...

yeah, the persian or the roadhouse... but make sure to get the big one:

Tiger is a great model, a folding cleaver with a vicious point and the most "locked in" grip I've ever felt on a folding knife. Mine came extremely sharp.

The Zealot is also awesome, but gonna' get hard to find real soon.

Damn, Super Roadhouse looks killer. That looks like a close call with the Super Commander in my mind. Tiger looks good, too.

If you want purely looks and nothing else, Persian. My opinion of course but an all black Persian looks pretty crazy..

For super badass I would vote for the Persian as well. The only super I have is a Roadhouse and it is just too big for me. I usually like large knives but man that thing is a beast. If that is your thing it would be a good model to get.

Persian looks good but I'm not that into a super pointy blade for my first Emerson. I'll try using this for work on a building site (and for popping beers ). I cut a bunch of nylon rope at work but when a knife goes in my pocket for the first month I try to use it for absolutely everything in the course of a day to get a feel for it.

I have a super Commander and a super RH. Both just give you that satisfying feeling that any task presented before you will have no chance. It all depends on want you want in blade shape because they both have huge blades. I got both because they are that awesome. The commander model is more EDC role affiliated than the RH IMHO. But that's just me.

You've come to the right place my friend.

All great choices so far. With every Emerson you get at least two things: superior ergonomics and badassry. Oh and they are workhorses.

I'm going to suggest the CQC 10. Great all around knife that looks good too.

Had and loved a Journeyman, but it is a very "plain" yet ultimately usable blade. Definitely go the Tiger route if the J-man appeals to you. It is a beefier CQC-8 blade that is "lowered" relative to the grip/pivot such that the point is in line with the pivot (for optimal thrusting power). It is also pointier than the 8 without being fragile. It is a AWESOMELY capable blade.

My vote is the Roadhouse - I currently only own 2 EKIs and one is a Roadhouse. I've had a Journeyman in the past and agree with Officer's Match that it is very plain.
