I particularly like the awl on this old Carl Schlieper, gifted to me by Campbellclanman Campbellclanman , and often reach for it when working on projects in the house, as well as when I am out hiking :)

Another one I particularly like is on my Mauser Officer's Knife, which has seen a huge amount of use over the 40 years I've had it, and which I also regularly use at home :)

HSB Junior Cattle Knife. Pawnshop find in Fort Worth TX about 7-8 years ago (forgot to pack a pocketknife in my check-in bag) - hard to go a week without a pocketknife, luckily the pawnshop was next door to the motel. OH

For me, this was first of awl, on my Colonial Forest-Master that I got around 1960. Used this a lot repairing/modifying surcingles that were used to hang a milking machine on a cow on our dairy farm, adding holes to human belts, drilling lanyard holes into apple slingers and walking sticks, and punching holes in any stuff that, IMHO, needed a hole in it.

That awl is bigger than a lot of blades! You could stick a pig with it.
I really like the fancy bolsters on those S&M! You've got a nice collection of awl knives.
This one came curtesy of Jack Black!

Lovely! What is that stag beauty at the bottom?
The punch on this #35 (HJ6?) is needle-sharp  If I remember correctly, paulhilborn paulhilborn used to use it to hold the last inch of a nice cigar! :D

This is the one I'd love to get into my collection someday (or Charlie's SFO in ebony). That tip looks like it disappears--I wonder how many angels could dance on it?
How about the one on this tiny Lady's Knife? :D

Dainty and fine. I've not seen on in that shape before.
