Purchased new BK9

ill bump this one back up for the question

how do i attach my bk9 sheath via molle or what not? or is it strictly belt use only?? i like the sheath bc i have the smaller knife with it and a sharpening stone. i want to attach it to my Falcon II (maxpedition small pack)

The stock sheath doesn't lash to molls unless you've got spare clips. I lashed my to my maxpedition to the side of my pack with some cord. It works well.

Sorry for the crappy phone pic, its all I had on hand. If u want I can take more tonight unless you find a better way.

i think i see what you are doing... extra clips? need explanation of clips. sorry, not that familiar with clips, molle and etc but i am learning.

For sheaths that don't actually have the Velcro molle straps like say the gen 1 esee 5 sheath (google that) that open and wrap around the molle webbing on a vest or pack and then secure back on themselves with the Velcro, you need bolt on molle clips or locks. Another good example of those is the RAT HEST which comes with molle locks for the sheath. They bolt on the kydex sheath that comes with it. Those work the same way is that they open length wise like an alligators mouth then lock around the webbing. Since there isn't anywhere to put those things on the stock bk9 sheath, just use some cord through the top and bottom lash points. I dunno what your pack looks like but mine has eyelets on the top and bottom on both sides which makes it easy to tie it on. Its very secure molle alternative

And really molle is a great system for strapping and removing gear in a flash, but if you plan on leaving it on your pack like I do, since I don't have a need for a 9 anywhere by bag isn't going, then a molle system is just a bonus

You think MOLLE is quick?!?!

You think MOLLE is quick?!?!

sure with quick clips! lol.... the other way, not so much.

thanks fellas... i have the izula and ESEE 4 (RAT4) and they came with molle clips. i like that, its f'ing easy and fast. i could use some clips for the BK9 just not sure how to do it. (have not had time to sit with it and think)..

At least for a knife sheath on a pack or belt. Could be wrong since all the molle stuff I ever had can be classified as mall ninja stuff. Got away from it since a normal person has no need for it unless they play army with airsoft or something like that. I have a back pack and a belt and no need for special vests and what not.

You can use maxpedtion 3" TacTie to attach the back of the sheath to the molle on the Falcon II.

Malice clips work also....

no kiddin'? thats pretty cool. with the maxpedition falcon II the molle is on the side of the pack where i would want to mount this bad boy.. i am assuming you tie it at the top of the sheath where the belt is?

The back of the BK9 sheath should have some molle to run the tac ties threw............right, mine does

I will take a pic..BRB

Back

Now just run the slack of the tac-tie part threw the molle on the Falcon II
