Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

Thanks Dennis, hope you and family are doing well.
Doing good, thanks for asking!

We left on the 18th to camp for 2 weeks, but due to incoming bad weather, we were only able to stay one week. We had some nasty ice hit us, brought down a couple of our trees, and there is still folks without electricity.
Normally an upright tree:

I think most folks have seen photo's like these, with a snake hidden in the leaves:

We had one of these within stiking distance:

Gorgeous bowl, Scott. It's making me crave a proper Caesar Salad.

Confucius say, "smart man no put his hand in belt grinder when moving with 36 grit ceramic belt"

That's a "pics or it didnt happen" thing!!!:D

Hope it's not too bad Scott, those 36's bite hard!

........ What happened Scooter??
Stupid, was grinding a paring knife and slipped stuck my thumb into the belt. Fortunately it wasn't going to fast and only took a little skin off. Scared the be-jesus out of me more than anything.

Wasn't too bad, just smarted when I cleaned it with alcohol.

I've been helping a guy I know learn some knifemaking and as payment he gave me a 6 pack of Irish Death. I've never been a fan of IPA's or the craft beers that people rave about but I do like a good dark beer. This stuff is pretty good, I just have to remember they're 7.8 percent:eek: Two of these will have me grinding my fingers off:D

Here's a shot of what's on the bench. The two cowbells on the left, a couple of forged ones on the bottom right and the Faro bowie at the top right. The bottom knife with the orange and blue handles is the one that's been in my InstaHam feed lately.

Chris (Rupe) and the missus stopped by this evening and we perused his Redmeadow collection and had drinks. I can see why he’s a fan. We tossed a few ideas around for the twin cowbells. I’ll post on that thread. Otherwise, any evening with good friends, good drinks, and not needing bandaids is a good evening indeed.

Sounds yummy, don't think I've had that one. I prefer dark beers too.

My boy wanted to forge a blade the other day. I had posted some of it in my Instagram Story and feed. I don't think I posted anything about it here.

He did great for a five year old. He knew exactly how long he wanted the blade and the handle shape.

Quenched it together.

We're gonna try to leave a little bit of brut de forge on the ricasso. A while ago I had found a nice stabilized block in blue and orange (his favorite colors).

My son also loves orange. Go Broncos! (Either team.)

That's awesome John (and boy)!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Had a good experience with Leather Stamp Maker. I emailed them a .png file on the 20th, they sent me a proof the 21st, shipped on the 24th and I got it on the 27th. Pretty quick turnaround especially for being over Thanksgiving:thumbsup:

Well hell, I was gonna post a picture but it won't let me upload a 103kb file for some reason (usually the limit is 500kb). Let's hope this is temporaryo_O
