I really wanted to stop and put an "Out of Gas" sign on the windshield.
........Confucius say, "smart man no put his hand in belt grinder when moving with 36 grit ceramic belt"![]()
Stupid, was grinding a paring knife and slipped stuck my thumb into the belt.........What happened Scooter??
That's a "pics or it didnt happen" thing!!!
Hope it's not too bad Scott, those 36's bite hard!
I've been helping a guy I know learn some knifemaking and as payment he gave me a 6 pack of Irish Death. I've never been a fan of IPA's or the craft beers that people rave about but I do like a good dark beer. This stuff is pretty good, I just have to remember they're 7.8 percentTwo of these will have me grinding my fingers off
Here's a shot of what's on the bench. The two cowbells on the left, a couple of forged ones on the bottom right and the Faro bowie at the top right. The bottom knife with the orange and blue handles is the one that's been in my InstaHam feed lately.

Chris (Rupe) and the missus stopped by this evening and we perused his Redmeadow collection and had drinks. I can see why he’s a fan. We tossed a few ideas around for the twin cowbells. I’ll post on that thread. Otherwise, any evening with good friends, good drinks, and not needing bandaids is a good evening indeed.
My boy wanted to forge a blade the other day. I had posted some of it in my Instagram Story and feed. I don't think I posted anything about it here.Forged!?!?!?I guess I should check your Instahammy...

Hell. YES!!!My boy wanted to forge a blade the other day. I had posted some of it in my Instagram Story and feed. I don't think I posted anything about it here.
He did great for a five year old. He knew exactly how long he wanted the blade and the handle shape.

We're gonna try to leave a little bit of brut de forge on the ricasso. A while ago I had found a nice stabilized block in blue and orange (his favorite colors).
