Push dagger assistance

Hello. Im new here and my "search" didn't yield a lot of easily accessible results, so I shall ask you:
Can anyone suggest a good push dagger for everyday carry, (for work - not the display case)? Double edged with a "clip on" the sheath?, primarily for inside the belt carry was my thought.

Ive seen the CS safe keeper and safe maker, (not in person, but online), but have read that only one side is sharpened and the other is "stone ground and not sharp", which I assume means not sharpened or able to be sharpened....correct??

Any brands better, sharper, better reputation than the rest?

Anyway, I didnt know and figured you all would.

I appreciate and thank you for any assistance or suggestions you can provide to me.

Oh, and cool forum....think I will stick around for awhile!

The one that I had was double edged and sharp on both edges. They make (or used to make) two models. The shorter one was single edged only. The longer one was double edged all the way.

Just out of curiousity...What kinda work do you do that you would EDC a push dagger to it?

Riverboat gambler?
International secret agent?

I suppose if you were a secret agent, you couldn't tell us. Forget about that one.

I've got one of these i'm thinking about listing in the exchange.

Don't worry, sharpness won't play much of an role when you need to stab someone in the throat.

I had a Mercworx Seraphim. It was really nice but I never found a good way to carry it. Check out the Shivworks site for reverse edged carry and deployment. For me it seems to be a superior system and for less than the Mercworx you could get a custom pikal from some of makers on Bladeforums.

Gentlemen/women...thank you for your replies...

-whats "EDC" mean?

-@dalefuller, sir, regarding CS, Ive seen 3 models:
the safe keeper I and II, the safe maker and an urban pal. Each one appears smaller than the last and only the "urban pal" appears to be one sided.

- I want the double edged blade for the slashing applications mostly. I do realize that the push dagger style in general is designed just for that..to "push".

-@slapper, sir, thats a nice looking knife...whats the blade length? I am looking for something most likely no larger than 2" or 3" in blade length.

-@squishware, very nice knife, sir!

again, thank you all for the responses and I will check out the links posted.

EDITED TO ADD:
disregard the "EDC" question....just figured it out from one of the links.

look no further,
for the road ends here...

That is truly an awesome knife! Thanks for the link, it was very informative. I was looking for something not so expensive, however

also,
this would be to wear on a utility belt in case someone grabs my primary weapon, my sidearm... hence my theorizing of a slashing application, (dual edge), to a windup for a thrust if still needed after the slash

again, thanks for the help...please continue to post ideas or recomendations of knives or different answers as Im all ears and eager to learn

+1, I cant think of a single job other then professional assasin that would use a push dagger for actual every day use. I use to carry but that was for sd in really sketchy areas where I coudlnt really carry anything else. Either way, if you can, try to find a safekeeper 1. took me 10 years to find 2 good ones and they were worth it. I love push knifes cuz when your in a bind, its hard not to beable to do a lot of damage with one. you dont really need any training, just keep punching.

note the safe maker1 is just as long as the safe keeper 2. Also the safe maker series is chisle ground, actually it arcs on one edge and although I have never tried cutting thru meat with it, I have read that it causes an circular arcing type of slash. I've always been scared that it wouldnt be able to slash very well because of the edge geometry but others have said it does nicely.

oh and the urban pal is pretty much useless. I would skip on that and get an keychain knife, either a spyderco bug or ladybug3

Something a little less ordinary, and no longer in production, would be one of these Parker Knives models. They look like a small fixed blde boot knife normally, but unlock and fold into a push dagger. The scales on this one are giraffe bone, they came with mother of pearl also. They can be found for under $200 with a little effort.

and in the other position:

The SafeKeeper has one style and the SafeMaker the oter. One is flat & chisel grind and the other is ground on both sides. If memory serves it's the Sake-Keeper that is NOT flat o the back. Google it.
