But I'm ok with it. My Burn stiletto fell out of my pocket as I was getting up. Put a nice little mark in the butt bolster. I knew from the beginning that this would not be a safe queen. I spent the money, and by God, I'm going to use it.

When I bought my Rolex Sea Dweller, I used a karambit to put a scratch in the band before I left the store. Same logic. Now I won't be afraid to "use" it.

Yeah, it's all over now. :D

Now you have to use it.:D

Here are the items I mentioned:

Seems like a low end Burn's so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I think you are right. If you are going to use it then it's inevitable.

When you have a brand new car be it expensive or modest, the first scratch or bang comes painful but 'necessary'(provided it's you who does the damage and not some clumsy idiot or vandal!) After that, it all becomes patina, same with a knife...

I don't think $900 is a low end knife, that's more than I paid for my Busse.

Its low end for a Burn's as I said. Besides my mom's purse was more its all relative and alright. Besides if you drop the Busse it'll cost more because it'll crack the floor ; )

Sorry folks, this is a wee bit off topic, but I couldn't help that FlaMtnBkr, your name contradicts itself. It's OK I come from a pancake state too, but it only took me a few years til I realized that jumping over bunny hills in a 18 pound titanium masterpiece just didn't cut it. That is one classy lookin set you have there.

I would have loved to have seen the look on people's face in the store when you did that.

Besides that I agree with you 100%, you spent the money to enjoy that knife; so enjoy it.

Hopping curbs in the city on my giant xtc its all good ; )

A $900 knife should be able to be dropped on a floor with negligible damage in my opinion. Slight scratch, nothing more.

Exaclty what happened. I still feel a wee bit of remorse when this happens, even with production Emersons.
