Put the first scratch/dent in a $900 custom

I do not intentionally scratch my stuff either. I am not afraid to use my custom knives, as I know I CAN send them back to the maker for a refurb.

I won't send a custom back unless there is something wrong with the integrity of the knife itself, but it is always an option. I know I can always send the Rolex back (they say every 5 years) and it will come back looking like new. I consider the dings and scrapes to be character marks, kinda the way we accumulate scars and such over a lifetime. It shows what kind of like you have lived. Same for the knife.

Sorry for what happened, what handle material is that BTW?

G10 taken to (guessing here) 1000grit. Everything else is stainless.

I know how you feel, putting a mark on that knife, and what not. Its a lot like scuffing up new shoes, or scratching the bottom of your car when going over a bump, dents on the car, etc etc.. But it was meant to be used, so yeah.. Plus, it gives the knife character.

Wish I had a $900 to spend on a EDC knife..

Dang you'd think for $900 I'd come with a pocket clip? This is one of the Burn's base models, maybe the next model up has the pocket clip? ; )

I think scuffing a dress shoe is far worse to deal with ; )

Im not picking sides, but I kinda know what he's talking about. Its like buying the cheapest Mercedes (C-class) or BMW (128i or whatever). You get an 'expensive' car, and its in the luxury class, but its 'only' the base model. I wont own one because I cant afford it, and would rather buy something else, but at the same time I wouldnt mind..

Either way, nice knife and watch. What else you got? :) haha

Actually, very few of Burn's knives come with a pocket clip.

This pic is a week or so old. I have traded out the Super CQC8 for a Hossom/Ontario Retribution folder. Added a Darrel Ralph IKBS powered TG as well.

I need to catch up.. but its hard when theres so many other things that needs my money. Bills, family, food, drinks, shoes, cars, guns, ammo, etc etc; but I promise, whatever is left, I'll spend it on knives :)

Nope... that's it. My collection is moving towards quality/quantity. I can do this because I'm young and have very few financial responsibilities. I'm married to an accountant. No kids and a relatively low (for CA) cost of living.

BTW, to afford this knife, I made payments over 8 months to the maker.

While agree with you Kaizen1, no point in getting yourself a ding. Take it where it belongs, syltetoy will be gone soon enough, he's obviously not going to last long trolling.

CM don't let anyone tell you you're not crazy, I wish I had your money though.
