The Puukko

Are you planning of putting it to good use? A field review would be nice, since the majority of his works seem to be just bought and sold after some time, still in mint conditions.

It's a beauty, Trollbane! Show us more of the knife if you wish and the two knives above look wonderful!

Some real beauties posted by all.
My only Pukkko- standard production Marttini but I am very satisfied with it.

I'd had my eye on the Marttiini Lynx Lumberjack since Will Power mentioned it in the $100 Traditional Knife Collection thread last fall and I finally purchased one in December. I liked it, but the handle wasn't comfortable for my hand.

So, I got to work removing the bits that were causing uneven pressure when I gripped the handle:

I then sanded it to remove the whittling marks and remaining stain:

Finally I lightly stained it and coated it with spar varnish.

I'm pleased with how it turned out and the more time I spend with this knife, the more I like it.

(BTW, the knife came very sharp. I exposed the blade for the photos, but it was securely covered while working on it.)

Thanks to Will for bringing this knife to my attention and for sharing tips on how he likes to finish his.
