John DF is absolutely correct… it was fear of pink that drove so many to vote brown. I’m with Jiki though, once sawcut won out, I knew we would have great knife … well except if it had been blue🤮
Edit…add pic! Sawcut beauties, red or brown;8F59B34F-982B-46D8-BDFC-54C8E4F97D1B.jpeg

We only had about a dozen (or so) people drive up their post count by spamming the forum... They sold 500 knives!!!
The spammers are of little consequence. I bet there are at LEAST a hundred people that bought knives that don't meet the requirements.
Hopefully those people get filtered out during the qualifying process and actual active Bladeforums members can get it in place. What’s unfortunate is people trying to take advantage of the situation and creating a lot of extra work for Charlie, Barry, and team.

Probably cause hemlock sawcut had never been done before so it would make for an exclusive and special forum knife. At least that’s why I voted for it

That was part of it for me, but also because Hemlock is my favorite color GEC does. Even where the dye is thin, it thins to a tan, not a pink somehow. I’ll vote Hemlock no matter what.

I currently only have one sawcut in my collection and no hemlock and I agree that it’s a fantastic color. I’m really looking forward to getting my knife. Hopefully it has some brown color in it as opposed to red or all black but I’ll be happy with anything. These are looking fantastic

Doesn’t sound like that’s part of the plan.

I don't have time to go back and confirm everybody's orders, but if you ordered and it went through PayPal then you are good.

I think that last quote about PayPal being good was just addressing if your user name was going to come through or not on the back end of the process so that you could be verified, not that using PayPal provided a pass.

Don't count on that.
Anybody who posts a 2022 forum knife thread is going to have it shut down real quick.

We will not again let the Traditional Forum disintegrate as it did this year.
No matter how to turns out, Frank, I know you, Gary and the others will do what's best for BF. You guys are so dedicated and do such a fantastic job, can't thank you enough .

Sooooo…. The 2022 bladeforum knife will be of your own design. Each person can be responsible for their own forum knife. Only guidelines are it must be produced in 2022 and have bladeforums on it (or just bf for the frugal paying per letter). Oh and traditional of course.

Would make for an interesting “show your bladeforums 2022 knife” thread. Maybe an opinel here, maybe a sak there. Maybe there will be an albers with bf 2022 roughly carved into the cover. Maybe a rough ryder with BF etched into the blade. Who knows.
