Yes I understand that and we are all boys at heart, none more than myself and I enjoy some of the foolmongery. Just thought it got off topic a tad too quick. 🙂
 
With all these green knives that may appear to be red. We should show some christmas knife sets. Some red and green and share some christmas plans while we are at it. All mine are packed sadly. Plus i think this forum knife might be my first green traditional. Speaking of firsts, this will be my first christmas not visiting any family. Just me, my wife, and kids. Pretty exciting for something so “relaxing”.

No way have we gone off topic…

That's the way it was in the past. I guess when you're dealing with GEC there is a limit and the whole process was blown out of the water...I must say It's a shame.
 
I want to thank GEC for making a beautiful knife for the porch this year. Imho it’s totally understandable that they have a limit on the number. Maybe what blows it out of the water are the forum members at large who scrambled to meet the criteria established by the traditional sub forum who are making it harder for those who genuinely did. That to me is a shame. 😔

Might not be your first green traditional because Hemlock Green is a shade of Red and black with just enough brown to trick people that wanted brown to vote for it 😁 🤫
 
The only question I have comes after this.... this forum knife is obviously going to be wonderful... beautiful scales, etc, and we are very fortunate to have them coming our way...

My question is, is there anything we can do, as Porch regulars, to help smooth the whole process out... help with vetting, anything to help ease the burden on Barry and Charlie. ( other than just shut up and wait for the knives to arrive, of course :cool: )
 
Due to ida, I’ve had limited internet. I came today and checked and tried to order. Guess it’s too late?
