Quality knife with bottle opener?

You Should be able to get an Emerson Horseman or Mini Commander in your price range.
Just be careful with it. I hear the bottle opener can catch on your pocket as you pull it out and can cause the blade to deploy! :D

Get a SAK. I usually carry two knives anyway

This really is the best answer. One all purpose folder, I mainly carry a PM2 or sometimes a ZT561, but I always have a SAK Alox Cadet. It's just so dang handy and sheeple won't bat an eye at its presentation. It's far and away my most used knife and the best $25 I've ever spent.

Currently I am going to try and get a DPX as a trade for my Benchmade McHenrey Williams.
I will see if I get any offers on the exchange. If not I will look into the other options.

It is not a "dedicated opener" It is still a knife I want. I want one with a bottle opener. Why deal with folding napkins etc and all these different things when something I have in my pocket can already have this ability.

Fair enough, but it's so much easier to just use your chain saw ;)

The Great Eastern Cutlery Radio knife is a good high quality slip joint if that is what strikes your fancy. This is available at this writing with a second run at select dealers but won't be for long as its quite popular and quite handy and a convenient size.

Are you guys scared to scratch your knife or what ? I can open a beer bottle with ANY knife , I don't get the problem

Agreed... I learned the bic lighter trick about 20 years ago in high school and it served me good over the years. If there's no lighter around, a knife, hair brush, wooden spoon, pliers etc are all I need. I even pop the screw off's because it's quicker and easier. :)

I have a DPx hest and can confirm they are an excellent bottle opener, and as a wave feature it works very nicely too.

I can understand not wanting a separate bottle opener. I always have a knife, but otherwise hate having things in my pockets.

Also it's a chunky little knife and will perform well. It is a bit heavier than some other knives mentioned though. Good luck with the search .

I own a left hand HEST 2.0. I can pretty much guarantee you will regret that. It cuts like crap, it's too thick to be a good knife. The Benchmade will be a better knife than the HEST. And you can always use the spine of any knife as a bottle opener.

It isn't my only benchmade, I just want a knife for when I goto a friends for a few beers and still want a knife/tool here
