I have a ZT 0392PURBLKWC, SN 016 AND a ZT 0392WC SN 182.
I can't afford both right now, so wondering which would be the best to sell.
I got the PURBLKWC this morning, and should have the WC Monday.
I actually wanted the plain WC for my collection, but couldn't find one. Then found the PURBLK at a reasonable price. Yesterday, wouldn't you know it, came upon the plain 0392WC, for a GOOD price, so bought it. Hoping that with both to look at, I could make up my mind which to sell. I just don't know.

I'd keep the plain, I think it will wear better with time aesthetically. If strictly collection purposes, sorry can't help.

I do like the plain better. Here are pics of both. The very ones I bought.

Okayy....then put the one you like less on the exchange already. It's starting to seem like you are just using the wider exposure of GKD to drum up interest in your upcoming sale.

I mean, we can't tell you which one you like better, right? o_O

I've always liked the 0392 variants, I just wished they were 4+ in blades!

Uh, sorry lil' guy, I am not selling these here. I already have buyers for both. Just on a fence here.
So don't worry, I won't consider any input you have. Nothing to see here for you.
Who are you, the Grinch?

Folks, if I wanted to sell these here, I can. It's why I have a PAID membership for.
Obviously, some don't. Oh well.

So, you are going to sell the purple one...any particular reason why? (for the folks who have been following this thread)

Well, not exactly correct- No sales outside of the exchange. Can't imagine the chaos that would ensue if this was not the case.

FYI- The mods here aren't paid, they are volunteers with lives outside of Bladeforums.

In case anyone isn't aware, the ignore feature in this software works well. It's like them member you ignored no longer exists! Really cool!
Take M marcinek for example,..if you put him on ignore, this thread would look like you are having a conversation with yourself with a few other people sprinkled in.

Let's keep the thread on topic though..the OP is obviously here to get some opinions on the subject matter

So...to clarify, this knife is a collectible to you, not a user?

If a collectible I'd say keep the 0392WC. It was the first WC and will likely always have more value. As I recall, the PUR didn't even sell out right away.

As a user, keep the PUR. The DLC on the blade will help protect the steel.

Thank you, but I meant sell in the exchange. The person did refer to that. I did read the rules.
Also, I did find the ignore link, you have to click on the person you want to ignore, and it's in the drop down menu. Thank you for that. Oh, does the ignore make that poster invisible to all the OTHER posters on the thread?
I understand the Mods are volunteers, as I have been a mod on two other forums.
But, it is a mod's job, volunteer or not, to help prevent the chaos as we were seeing here. I do understand that it's a big forum, and I may have been a little impatient, though, so I apologize.

Thank you. That actually brought this into perspective. You are right, the purblk did take a while to sell out. I guess the only concern I have is that the purblk is #016, while the plain (or gray) is #182, as a collector, that MAY be relevant. I will sell the purblk. I do have a buyer. But, the buyer for the plain WC isn't gonna be happy. But, I did tell him I hadn't made up my mind, yet. I still don't have the gray WC in hand, probably not until Monday. I paid more for the purblk, so I won't get my $ back, but that's my fault.

Our mods do a damn fine job. Chaos here? Good lord, wear your depends because you're in for a ride.

If you're collecting keep 0392WC. It was the most unique and expensive at $450 due to the custom copper patina filler tab from Steel Flame and grey Type II anodizing. Others in the 0392 series were mostly selling for $400.

Makes sense. I actually only got a purblk as I couldn't find a gray WC, at the time. DAMN my impatience! I do like it better.
