I have the QSE-13cf. I like the knife. It's a nice design but maybe stolen. It was certainly made in China, but seems it was well made in China. The cf is real and the fasteners, blade, and lockbar insert are the only things that are ferrous. The blade does seem like it lost an edge quickly so I'm not so confident of the blade steel. The machining seems top notch. Lockup is good and centering is perfect. The flipping action is as good as a zt 452, however the detent is too weak, but useable.
My theory is that the knives come to the USA from China and are taken to the secret facility where they are laser etched "Made in Texas, USA, 070/300". I don't think they could be reliably imported with "made in USA" written on them.
I do wish We Knives would steal the design and put their name on it. I would feel better about owning the thing.
Also, I like and collect kwaiken type flipper knives (if that's even a category) so it pisses me off that QM calls the knife a Qwaiken. At least it doesn't have an idiotic TV name that goes with it.
