Queen D2

If you want to change things about Queen's edges, send your brand-new dull or obtuse edged knives back to them for regrinding. If they get enough returns and complaints, they may start sending their knives out with a different edge.

That's not a bad idea except that I have read on the forums where others have done the same with other companies and got back a less than satisfactorily sharp knife.

I’m one of those who have never or rarely been happy with any nib edge on any brand of knife. I do wish more knives came sharpened how I like but that just isn’t going to happen. Don’t discount the Queen D2s I believe they are pretty much the best thing out there for the money.

I just reprofiled and sharpened five new Queen Amber Carved Stag bone knives. Out of fifteen blades two might have had a usable edge. Larry

I use my edgepro to thin out my Queen D2's. I have 3 currently in the queue. It usually takes about 10 minutes per blade, even though it's D2, it's very thin, and generally they thin out pretty quickly on the EP.
