Your saying they remind you of Case stag from the 60's and 70's is what's pushing me over the edge to get on, I was right on the fence, but stag from that era has always caught my eye, just looks so good.

And 1095 in a folding hunter is a great idea to me, great combo on these!

In the immortal words ofr Jerry Clower, "Ya'll done flung a cravin' on me"!

I just ordered one of these beauties!

Good deal Last Confederate, you will like it! I had mine out today, was checking it out.The stag is thick. They made a couple of versions, for Cumberland.I had a Root Beer Jig bone, but it was nothing like this one.The scales on the jig bone were flat, the stag is like rounded out a little, fills the hand way more. Then Again, the stag is double the money of the bone, give or take a few.

VCM3, you have no idea how much I wanted to hear someone say that!

One of the reasons I prefer the Carved Stag Bone Queen over my S&M File & Wire mountian man, is that the CSB is thicker and more rounded. The flat wormgrooved scales of the S&M are beautiful, but make the knife feel to thin to me.

The Last Cofederate,Yes,no doubht, there is a BIG difference in the two. This stag version is a real noticeably well made, good feeling ,knife. I am very pleased with mine,I think you'll like it ,too.

I tried to copy a picture up,but no good,I must be incompetant,lol..Maybe someone can help out.

Here's a pack of 'em!

Well I also want one with the 1095 steel but was wondering if anyone knows someone who makes a awesome sheath to go with it.....thanks in advance,

Kap

I must say I don't think I have seen a finer Mt. Man styled knife in my life. In 1095 no less. I've not seen finer stag either. So after all this I just ordered one from Cumberland. They had an initial lot of 200 in and well I had to have one. Kind of expensive when I just bought a Buck 110 at Wally World for 19 bucks. Now to get a nice looking sheath for it. Maybe lifter or someone. Keepem sharp and thanks for the pics. Drop dead gorgeous knives. keepem sharp

Mine arrived just a few minutes ago, ordered on Friday, arrived on Monday, top notch sales and service from Bill Horn at Cumberland Knife Works as usual!

This thing is truly awesone, my hands literally shook the first time I held it, because the Stag is so great. Razor sharp from the box and what VCM3 said about the Stag is true, it swells out from the bolster to almost twice the thickness of the Carved Stag Bone Mountian Man, making it a great handle.

The knife opens and closed like water it's so smooth, none of the typical "crunchy at first" that I have seen from Queen knives at times, until they get broke in and smooth out.

If your on the fence like I was, ORDER ONE FAST!

Here she is, I wanted to get a good picture before I start carrying it and teh high carbon blades start to patina.

I'm curious, how many folks will carry and use these and how many bought them as collectors?

Well I placed my order with Bill today and so can't wait to get it in my hands!!!
Now to pick the perfect sheaths, one black one brown.....
I also ordered a Jigged Black Cherry Serpentine Jack with the D2 stell which I have never really had a user......curious to see how I like it and damn the price was right at Bill's.

Cheers,
Kap
