Enough is enough!

THese are basically scraps as I understand it.

WHats left is too thin to be machined, and hence the new hand finished pattern.

I am very thankful for them.

In current times with so much waste:rolleyes::grumpy:

It was a way better option than throwing em in the dumpster.......cause Dan the Man would have been all over em:D:p;)

THe Dog pound would have loved that!:rolleyes::thumbdn:;)

Snakeskin is nice, personally I like Tiger Hide the most. Don't get me wrong my OD Proto is machined snakeskin and it's gorgeous but I'm in love with the Tiger Hide micarta. Y'all seem to be head over heels for the snakeskin, LOL :)

Just out of curiosity, why do the old-school micarta slabs seem to have more character that the new micarta slabs? Did they just make micarta differently in those days? Seems the basic formula would have remained the same. Compare, for example, old-school machined Tigerhide to new tigerhide, or old-school green linen to new school, or the old slabs on the SHSH/SHBA series to new micarta.

A rumor started from Busse Combat themselves, because I asked them and they said they were out. They must have A LOT of scraps. :D But I dont mind as long as I am getting snakeskin goodness.

This running out of snakeskin is a rumor, just like the folder is. Neither are going to happen. :foot:

They have been telling us they have been running out of this for 2 years (sounds like a good marketing gimmick to me).

Hell, I don't understand it either,, the new stuff might have character too in 10 years, I just can't seem to keep any new style stuff more than a few days,, lol. The old school leaner .230 mean street, I got at the creek, with diamond quilted black canvas, is very cool,, I would love to see one in quilted thin snake,,, eek,, but,, they are REALLY out this time,,, lol,, who cares,, as long as the goodness makes a apperance and Trevor is not around to snatch it,, I say,,,, So Be it,,,

No, Busse has stated, over the last couple of years, that there wasn't going to be any more once the supplies were gone. He hasn't said that the supplies were running out till this year.

Please get your facts together before posting inflammatory remarks like that.

I just wish they could find some more of the old style green linen laying around somewhere.
And maybe a scrap piece or two of some black paper, now that would be nice huh.

We should all be happy that there is still a few pieces coming out with the beautiful SS on them IMO.
