If the production going to work out i will and offer those in 2 dimensions:I'm down for a 24" curved carbide platen.
If the production going to work out i will and offer those in 2 dimensions:
29” radius so simulating a 58” diameter wheel
14” radius so simulating a 28” diameter wheel.
I already make radius platens out of hardox for a couple of years.
The plan with this is, that the curved carbide can be mounted on those.
So for old customers they can upgrade there radius platen.
So here is a update on the curved radius platens.
They worked out with the manufacturing and looking great.
They are made in 150mm height / 6”.
This to save on costs since they are slready expensive.

I have 2 pieces now in 14” and 29” radius. What's the radius of That one....bonus if you have any pics of blades ground on them?
Thanks
Thanks!Nice platen. The open back will aid cooling..
Did you bend the carbide strip yourself, or buy it already curved?
Hahah ready for the next oneDammit man, you're killing me... I *just* got my flat one fitted!![]()
I haven't been able to run it yet. Motor is getting servicedHahah ready for the next one
Enjoy the flat one, will give way better results then with the worn steel or glass ones![]()
Well to be honest never thought of that.Out of curiosity, if you cut the curve by EDM, why didn't you leave the back flat? Seems like twice the work.
Is flat back an option when you order? I’d be interested in the cost since I don’t currently own a radius platen. I sent you an email earlier but if this ends up being a legitimate option I’d pay for and test a prototype if the cost makes sense. You’ve been extremely helpful to me so if I can return the favor let me know.Well to be honest never thought of that.
But since it needs a backer it seemed best way like this so people can upgrade their current radius platen.
