Question about trading guns on the forum

I am relatively new to the forums and this last month I became a first time Busse/Bussekin owner. Now since the last Ganza my fiancé and I have 12 knives between what we have and what we are waiting on. So clearly we have a problem....

What I am really posting about is my father passed away 2 years ago now. He was an avid gun collector (retired cop and firearms instructor). I will always keep many of his guns but honestly he had way more than one FAMILY could use and more than I have the time or interest to maintain and I am finally in a place where I feel OK letting a few go. I would prefer to trade for Busse/Bussekin knives because I feel that preserves more of the sentiment than outright selling them. However, I have not seen much talk about firearm buying/selling/trading on the forums and I could not find mention of them in the rules.

Is it OK to post the firearms in the trading forums (I assume there and not the Busse/kin for sale forums)? I wanted to ask before upgrading my membership just to make the post.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
Rob

I would recommend letting Jerry know what you have. He has a long standing "Iron for Infi" program in which he trades knives for guns.

I have a FFL to transfer firearms so everything is done 100% legit so you would have no worries on the legality of the trade.

Send some pics off to Jerry. He may be interested in some of the stuff you have.

PM me if you have any old S&W revolvers or Marlin & Winchester lever guns.

I have an original canadian made P14-45 stainless. Rare and in mint condition. What you got to trade for it. 14 rounds of 45 acp......

You'll need some sheaths for your new toys! I'd be willing to trade leather for guns if you have something I'm interested in, pm or email if so.
I also have an FFL so totally legit to send stuff to me as well.

I would be willing to trade cash for guns. :) If you're interested, just send me a PM or an email.

That is great to know, I have tons of firearms, I could let 10 or 15 go for some infi, for sure

Thanks for all the responses. To those requesting a PM, give me some time to put together a general list for you and I will contact you. I was not completely ready for the interest level....

..... but only so one may maintain an interest in antiques and history, much the same reasons why I like stone axes... ;) ;)

Someone has to pass along the Tribal Knowledge so the next generation can fully appreciate the technology and simple designs of John Moses Browning and all of his Stone Axe's like the "Ma-Deuce"...:D:D:D

John Moses Browning is without a doubt the greatest gun designer of all time. However, as much I like a good 1911, it is no longer the greatest handgun and hasn't been for many years. Classy yes, greatest...not anymore.

Well, can't argue with 100 years of service and the fact that the Marines have gone to it, again. No other handgun has done that. That makes it the greatest ever. Maybe not the best of modern guns, but definitely the greatest handgun of all time.

The greatest handgun is of course the Browing Hi Power (not even close to an antique like the 1911 ;) ).... :D

I just love getting a little blood in the water to see who swims in..... ;)

I'm not knocking the 1911 because I like them but greatest has a broad range of measurement including modern times therefore it can't be greatest ever. Mr. Browning himself said the Highpower was by far his greatest handgun design. Of course that doesn't mean it had a more successful military history than a 1911 did but was a better design. I prefer a 1911 over a Highpower but the man himself said it. But just to clarify, greatest would include modern times. Longest history ....sure it wins in that regard. Lots of 1911 kool-aid going around so I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade.
