Because I bought it from a trusted seller on here, so I took him at his word that it was new in box straight from the dealer. If you’d like to call both of us liars then that is your prerogative. But as I said, I’m not going to refund the money to someone who has been on the forums for less than two weeks and has zero feedback, without you shipping the knife back first. Especially now that you’ve said you would try to polish the lock face to “fix” it yourself. I have everything to lose and nothing to gain in that situation, including my reputation on the forum. I recently sent back a Shirogorov to the seller because of an issue that I wasn’t comfortable with. I shipped it back before he refunded the $600 I paid for it, but that was because he was a member long in good standing.
