Question on the Basic 11 vs the SYCO 1311

I want one so bad. But.......Must resist.

I need a rattle hawk worse. And maybe get a matching swamp ruki. Then, I would really be ready for the Z-pocalypse!

Though, I suppose the Rattlehawk and my KZII would do ok too.

Honestly, the 1311 draws me more than my B11, but I know if I sell the B11, I will miss it.

T, I hope you were unable to resist and didn't pass the 1311 up for a Rattle Hawk. There may still be some time.
With a chopping sweet spot almost a full 6" long, the MOAD is bar none, the best chopper I have ever used.
It is like taking the best parts of the B11 and the Zilla and putting them into one blade, I am extremely impressed to say the least.
Dan brought it, big time... now I am anxious to see how Jerry tries to top it.

This pic is with the grips aligned at the longest one handed controllable point possible.

This year I bought a Rattle Hawk and a 1311....both super sick and deadly... Just when I think I have every knife/axe I want, this company puts out something sick that is a must have! The 1311 is the blade of the year!

I completely agree!

The only thing Jerry can do is come out with the Basic Kukri. Thin Convex Zero grind, almost FFG but convex to taper the .32 stock. 23 oz would be perfect.

I'd be in for a couple b15's but I want em skinny. A little less than the 1311 even. With a full flat grind! That would be my ultimate woods tool!

I'm with Grunt on this -- a .156" FFG anorexic B15 sounds pretty tasty!

Same profile as the 1311 would be fine with me, or slightly thicker stock but FFG - would add up to pretty much the same thing. But a longer handle and choil area to provide some different grip options would be good on a blade that length.

I'd like to see a Basic 15 LE take on the best traits of the B10LE and 1311....

Blade Thickness = .230
Blade Length = 15.25”
Overall length = 20”
Blade Width = 1.50”
Weight = 22 oz
Grind = Full Height
Handle = Resiprene C
Finish: Hand Finished Satin
Edge: Blended Zero
Steel = INFI
Heat Treat = 58-60 Rc

Should we start a new thread now asking for a Basic 15 LE?

Ok, I've seen it, and shelved it... then I read through this and saw pics.. order placed - or so it seems?
