Question to all the ESEE owners

Jeff and Mike are very modest and respectful to other knife companies, but in this price range ESEE knives are the big dogs. I have aquired knives at the 200 dollar price range Bravo 2 and 300 dollar range Fehrman first strike. Great knives but my ESEE-6 is easier to sharpen in the field and the coating wears much better than the fehrman and with the coating more corrosion resistant than the bravo 2. At the 70 dollar price range Becker knives are hard to beat, I just hate the garbage sheath and prefer a choil for more control. Good luck man, you already made the smart buy.

Kabar is beast especially there Becker line.
Dont mention Buck I hate them.
Check out ragweedForge.

I recently looked into ESEE alternatives and I decided on a swamp rat. I would say that Swamp Rat markets their knives as being somewhat superior (and more pricey) than ESEE, and Busse takes the next position in that hierarchy. The more pricey part is definitely true, but the superior quality is a more complicated (and disputable) question. In the end, the decision for me was really all about the SR-101 steel, which I chose over ESEE's 1095 and Busse's INFI.

TOPS is another brand that makes more expensive ESEE-type knives.

Out of all of these, I think that it is pretty much beyond dispute that ESEE gives you the most for the least money.

There are other knives that I would choose for other purposes, but that is partly because they are a different type of product. For example, for a dedicated hunting knife, I would choose many other knives before ESEE (bark river and dozier to name two). And if I knew that I would be working in a wet environment, I would choose a good stanless Fallkniven or Bark River over a 1095 ESEE. But now we are startin to get into apples to oranges.

Still, no matter how you look it: Esee makes excellent knives for price and gives darn good warranty. I would not hesitate put my life on the line with Esee knife.

I currently have two ESEEs. A HEST and an ESEE 4. Wonderful knives.
But there is usually still another knife in my backpack or in the car.
A Seki made SOG Seal 2000. Will never give it away.

Ive been looking around and cant find a knife in the same price range with the same quality and warranty. Theres others that catch my eye but surpass my wallet

Bang-for-buck, you can't beat ESEE.

You can get less expensive knives.
You can get better knives.

But not at the same time.
this is very true, you wont find top quality for a cheap price. But you can get awesome knives from ESEE, with an amazing waranty (that you cant beat) for a decent price.

Is there any manufaturer at any price point that puts their money where their mouth is/
on the warranty like ESEE?

That's the reason I'm here, buying them, getting rid of all others...
that and I just love the way they feel and work hard in the hand
to me, it's put up or shut up and this company does it.

There is no doubt in my mind that when it comes to quality, price and warranty, EESE is hard to beat. Although new to EESE, I do have a few Busse and Bussekin, BRKT, high-end Cold Steel and few other brands, but I believe that EESE has the balance right. I am really looking forward to the HEST folder and have held off buying the Tops-Buck CSAR to see it before making up my mind.
