Question to Jeff & Mike about up comming RAT Boonie hat

Not trying to steal your thread but what about a standard ball cap? Yes I would use a boonie but I wear a ball cap more often.

I prefer #3.

That said...I'll buy whichever the pros design. I'm not so much worried about style out in the woods.

For beating around on my turf, I'll stick with my Packer hat. Now if I was going to be playing around in the jungle, I would go with #2, although I would want one that fits my head and something in a neutral color. I know that there are probably a lot of members on here that are either veterans or active members of the military (Thank you all for your service!), I personally have always thought it's silly to wear camo in civilian applications. The whole point in camo is to blend in, not to stand out. :D

I actually used to wear a bit of camo before my service, now there is none in my wardrobe. My camo is jeans and t-shirts- helps me blend in with the other sheep. And if I need it in the woods there is plenty of mud, foliage and other stuff to make my own. Though I am fond of just a straight OD ballcap, it gets the sun out of your eyes and breaks up the out line of your facial features, and is pretty acceptable in public.

I actually have a plain-jane OD ballcap myself, I think it's from Under Armors tactical series (it was on sale). I like the neutral/earthtone colors because I feel that they allow you the most opportunity to blend in, regardless of your surroundings. I'm so ugly as it is, I don't need to draw anymore attention to myself.

Everytime I buy clothes my wife comments, "are you gonna get something with color?"
Most of my clothes are tans, greens, browns and some blacks and greys(for the more industrial urban surroundings) I don't try to do it on purpose my mind just works like that:rolleyes:

I have the same issue. My fiance` is always critical of my color choices. I think I will wear fall orange occasionally, but it's mostly gray's, browns, and greens.
