Question: Will the USPS stop it?

And not to diverge the thread but kido, your 18 why would you need a 9" blade...?

If you use it for anything other than camping/outdoor purpose you know it's not going to end pretty.

Geez if I have an 18 yr old buying a 9" blade for no apparent reason I'd totally whoop his @ss.

I collect knives. Its my hobby. They're fun to collect.

Also had one package that was mis-delivered

I also had one miss-delivered - it was an expensive over night delevery - they ran a trace on it - a woman signed for the package but didn't open it - so it was recovered & the PO re-funded my charges - I like the flat rate program - as often as i ship the box's are very handy & buying postage & label on line saves a me a bunch of time - tom

People who buy knives they don't need?

That describes every single member of these forums.

My first fixed blade was the good ol' 7" bladed partially serrated Kabar...I was 17. Timberwolf, Buy the knife if it makes you happy, dude, just don't expect perfection for what it is.

I fail to understand why you would think they would know what you ordered. Does it say "Hey, this is an illegal knife that can't cross state borders" in big red letters on the box?

When I worked as a carrier for USPS, I had no idea what I was carrying or delivering. Boxes could have held anything.

18 year olds are old enough to legally purchase long guns, let alone knives.

I do, my friend. I don't really care what grandpa over here says. "totally whoop his @ss"? :jerkit: I collect the knives i want because i want them. I love knives, I love weaponry, and I love collecting things. S'what I do.

Thank you, kind sir. That's actually my next order of business: buy my first rifle. Its not going to be anything fancy but I want to become certified in firearms. My uncle scored 100% on his certification and I want to carry on the family tradition ^_^ I want to be the very best... like no one ever was. hah

I order from BudK once in a while (hey at least I admitted it) and their shopping cart system will not allow you to buy items restricted, it goes by zip code. So you're safe there.

The only time my mail carrier holds packages is if they need a signature and I'm not home.

Enjoy the hobby, I've been buying knives I don't need for over 40 years.

I asked my mailman and he said when you ship a package you don't have to tell them it has a knife in it as long as its very securely packaged. I know they ask if potentially hazardous, fragile or liquid, etc but this is what he told me :p

THIS IS AMERICA Its called the 2nd amendment...ever heard of it?; without it we wouldn't exist as a country, as we are founded on the principle. Last time I checked someone his age could own a rifle, so whats a knife?

Sounds like to me you forgot this is a knife.forum so most here are pro-knife.

Or are you some misguided troll who popped out from his bridge to do his daily flaming?

I hope you never have kids. Maybe he would buy it for sd against your abuse :/. In anycase, I think it is a silly knife :)

YES! you understand what I'm going through mentally! :D

YouTube user giutoniolo from Brazil said he could not ship knives via USPS to the USA. He was told it's a US law.

Timberwolf,
One of the cardinal rules of buying new knives which you should learn is: "When the shipping cost is more than the knife cost that is not a good sign".

After you get that knife and use it a little be sure to post a review of it.

Finally, and this one is the best advice I am going to give you today, if that is really your date of birth then I suggest you remove it immediately and ask anyone else who copied it into their posts to do the same. It wouldn't take too much effort for a scammer to find out your real name and possibly make you a victim of identity theft at some point in the future. Don't make it easier on them. Think about this if you have plastered your personal info all over your Facebook page also as many young people do nowadays.
