Quick help, Shipping to the Philippines

I hope this is the right place to post this.

Another member responded to my for sale thread for 2 Spyderco Endura asking if I would ship to the Philippines.

They have about 70 posts, with no itrader feedback.
What should I do?
What are the hangups shipping overseas?
Will paypal payment be safe or should I ask for a US MO?

Oh, you should be fine. I would take the paypal, then use USPS Express International shipping, it comes with $100 usd insurance, signature confirmation, the whole nine yards.....and it SHOULD arrive within 5 days, give or take a few.

You see, with paypal you automatically get an address which lets you know where to send the package. Then you can just print the label with no "out of pocket" fees at the post office.

What's also good about using paypal to print labels is that they get an email receipt and an automatic tracking number to watch the package. This helps you and them.

*Be sure to let them know that once it is out of your hands and given to the post office that you can't do much after that. They need to understand that should their customs declare it a weapon of mass destruction that it's up to them to claim it.* It may sound $hitty, but it's kind of the truth once it enters the system. Double check about the signature confirmation, if it's not automatically there, add it on for about $1.80 usd. This will make you safe as a paypal seller and ensure that the right person picks it up.

ps. With paypal you get your payment instantly and the currency should be done as well. Just remind them about the currency exchange if that's not automatic.

I agreed to go with paypal and when when I got the payment, the address was "Unconfirmed". I just refunded the money cause I don`t want to take the chance on an unconfirmed address. The buyer is working with me for other forms of payment, so we`ll work something else out.

If they do not want to pay for the international priority you can ship them air mail for around 10.00.
Send them a photo of the receipt with the customs tag # so they do know it was shipped.
I all ways let them know that I am not responsible for delivery after it is mailed.

Oh, Paypal is probably your best option since it automatically does the exchange for you. Even with an unconfirmed address, paypal will tell you that to be a protected seller just add on signature confirmation and you should be 100% safe once it ships off.
