quick look: 2011 Cold Steel large Voyager PE

I really liked my large Voyager. Unfortunately the grippable area of the handle was just a bit too small for my large hands. So I gave it to a friend and have a spear point Recon 1 (perfect fit) on the way to go with my XL Voyager. :D

I've read that the liners are aluminum... "The Grivory handles feature 6061 heat treated aluminum liners for the utmost in strength and stiffness and are ergonomically designed to afford a wide array of grip options including the palm reinforced forward grip for which they are particularly well suited." (taken from ColdSteel.com)

Thanks for the review! I just bought two of these, one in XL clip PE and one in XL Tanto PE. Stupid Walmart.com (great prices!) botched my first order containing my XL Vaquero, hopefully I can still get it! They have been outta stock for weeks now!
I don't know why people on the forums have such an issue with Cold Steel! Who else of the legit knife companies are making folding knives over 5", heck!! over 4" (resilience and ruckus aside) without charging $120 minimum?! I love my Benchmade 710 as much as the next knife hound, but why put crap on a company that is smart enough to make stuff (ok, the "Sarong"? Really?) that no other manufacturer will even consider making? We're talking folding AND fixed blades, swords, martial arts training weapons, machetes, tomahawks (and not $200 ones mind you!) and lots of other cool stuff for what (on the secondary market) is very affordable.

I just got the Cold Steel Boyager large. I wanted a new edc. I had been carrying the SogZilla, and was set on getting the Sog Trident. That was, until I saw the Voyager. It was in the same price range, so I took a chance on it. So far, its has impressed me geatly.

I got my first 2011 voyager a few days ago. I opted for large clip point. I really like the knife, but the clip is ridiculous. They really need to update the mold to make it smooth under the clip. A person shouldn't have to sand or just weld and bend the clip just to be able to remove the knife from your pocket.
